That sucked me in ... I was thinking "what a lovely chap he sounds......." then I got to the last line.

Was it Malcolm or someone else who posted on here a bit then lost his job then got a new one in a car dealership for a bit that might have had a fake Ferrari?!

Wasn't that Max Headroom? The one who started up a blog - got a job in a Ford dealership, and was trying to get some freelance writing up and running?

That could be Malcolm. I think I picked up that he's been around for a while, but not who he was before (for some reason I think he has a 'new' username)?

No offence, but baked beans + camping sounds like a risky idea to me! :)

I think you are right about the Max Headroom, no idea if malcolm was anyone else before.

Our Spanish students would like to come on our holiday (1 week at my parents in Devon) rather than stay at their school and move to a different host family. We like them too but I'm not sure if it is a good idea.
    I think....

I think its nice that they obviously like spending time with you and the other michaelses, but I'd probably just leave plans as they are - you need a break too and I'm sure its enough looking after your own lovely kids, let alone anyone elses :)

Sounds a wonderful French trip! Hope you get some nice, cool sleep before work tomorrow.

I am currently battling with a series of shortcodes and scopes. Only another 2-3 weeks and the site I've been knocking about for the last 3 weeks should be less shabby than it used to be ..... you start one day thinking "I can do this in 1-2 days", weeks later.... you're still fiddling.

How much income does all the fiddling generate?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I've just got back from camping in Tenby with my girlfriend.

For dinner last night I prepared my speciality dish of baked haricot beans in a tomato sauce on a bed of toasted wholemeal bread.
We washed it down with a glass of chilled fermented apple juice as we watched the sun go down over the pylons.

It was lovely and next week I'm going to do it again.

But it won't be so much fun because I'm taking the wife.
That sucked me in ... I was thinking "what a lovely chap he sounds......." then I got to the last line.

Unless he's trying to be very very subtle about telling us he's about to marry the girlfriend?

Malcolm did have a previous name, but he's not Max Headroom. Malcolm is married (I think - or possibly cohabiting) and has children (I'm sure). Max was childfree and beginning a relationship with "the blonde" while writing his blog.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
