    I've been Money Tipped!
Tomorrow I have a work chum senior to DH visiting for lunch with his new to uk wife and kids. Sounds fun. Then he mentioned he's now bringing another more senior colleague, and his girlfriend. And his in laws.

To our house which is a building site. :). And currently had no dining room.

I was cleaning the house earlier this week then got split reacted, so I only really have tonight to finish that off!

Long weekend from the nice builders this weekend. I like them, but it will still be nice. :)

Good for you! However nice the builders, freedom from builders is miles better! Besides that, it takes some pressure off you to choose tiles, valves, taps, etc

Good luck with lunch for DH's colleague. Get DH to do the cleaning. Or can you get someone in to help? :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

D won't be home till late, they will be here early. He does floors. I get it to floor level. It's not so bad as I thought looking around. (Ignoring the room the dogs are sleeping in because the builders are using it. :D. I'll also ask DH to spot something about that I think. :)
I might also ask him to remove the several dozen tins of paint from the downstairs loo.

Upstairs is obviously all a building site! But no need to go up there. :).

I hope that you only have to provide one meal and not B&B!

I assume it is not the one person that is bringing his wife, kids, girlfriend and in laws.

It's one person bring his wife, his in laws, his kids and his sort of boss and his sort of bosses girlfriend.

Lunch and tea. I think I'm ok....cool, calm, covered. It's not going to be a banquet. You want a banquet, you give me at least twenty four hours, With about 18 hours you get about 75% of what I could provide in 24 hours. :D

    Has Heathrow reopened?

Absolute worst case scenario: You'll do a great job of entertaining on your own. Or would you like some NPs to pop over to help? (I can clean the dining room whilst you cook. Oh, and NDG will run up some curtains. :D)

Could I just ask the NP to think negative thoughts about Gold, please?

You really don't need to ask.....:D

I actually think, with some surprise, I'm getting stuff under control.

I had a lunch menu planned, so with some adaptation that's going to work for everyone. The dogs won't get a brush, Ok. So what.

A couple of cakes are now cooling. I'm working my way through the dining room clutter.....

Think the trains might be running less than an hour late looking at expected arrival times.....

I'll do a shop late late tonight (avoiding any queuing).

Oh, and wash something to wear. :)
