We were around an oval table in a pub, which for most of the evening it was buzzing with chatter, which kept conversation to nearest NP neighbours. fc,NDG and Zag were on the farside from me so they were spared and I have more to hear.
LiR, I was told how beautiful you are and had it pressed home how much much PN is cared about by those who have met her. There was a really inclusive drive, A thoughtful suggestion (from Zag) was that we plan a NP meet up a bit further north to attract (lure) middle England.0 -

Well, you know how easy it is to care for pn.....but they spun you a yarn somewhere I see.:rotfl: Though while there is bandwidth I was going to stick a pic of me with straight t hair on the other channel for FC....but I need to remember to log back in to remove it if I do that. And one picture would do the bandwidth over there I think.m:rotfl:
DH would tan my hide if I put a pic up here :rotfl:
Middle England. That would be the doozers, lemon jelly......nikkster in Shakespeare land, possibly Lydia, oh dear some one whose name I cannot remember which makes me feel awful... I have the impression he was very tall.0 -

i have a quick question. i have been invited to a support group for something which i had surgery for. i have a mild/almost non existant version (i only need prescription painkillers sometimes and can be at work) but it affects me in a hidden way that makes me pretty upset and angry at the world. what affects me happens in around 50% of people who have the same condition.
wondering whether to go as I won't be as bad as some of the others there but just need someone to talk to that understand what it feels like. Friends are great but i just think they don't understand (and get bored after a while)..0 -

Why scale the bad ness.
You are coming to terms with YOUR issue.
It might me you learn something useful. It might be you do not but gain a feeling of acceptance over your right to feel upset. It might be you have something to help you feel less upset at times from the experience. If fifty percent of sufferance experience the same or similar you will have a very high likelihood of shared experience.
For me support groups are the idea of living hell, but none of the reasoning you have given make me think that you would not gain from them, or, frankly, contribute.0 -

I wouldn't imagine that anyone there would be thinking 'why is that newcomer misskool here, I have it much worse than her?'. If you think you might get something from going (and a lir said, I bet you would be able to contribute a lot too) - give it a go. If you don't like it/ feel you shouldn't be there, don't go again.
We're always here for you too0 -

Look, you are all great, all of you.
Now, speaking of great people, has anyone heard from darling Lydia?
I'm going to brave the search function on (fails the American censor) hotmail to find her email address and check she is ok tomorrow.
Not the rubber shoes...but the heel is falling off my work shoes and I had been meaning to glue it back on for a while so no doubt I still managed to look like a tramp even in my suit (DKs always help by rushing up to daddy and holding on to his trousers without thinking about whether their hands might be covered in yoghurt or whatever).
I think last time Lydia was in she mentioned the R word (reports) so hopefully that is all that is keeping her away.I think....0 -

Oh, you probably looked rich and miserly then,. I always send DH off looking ok on Monday and he comes back looking like.....well, not smart on Friday. Damp, sweaty and like some sort of lower grade retail assistants underlings cast off. I don't know what happens on Fridays. It would be so much easier if he wore a suit still, tbh, he's not very good at this smart casual thing. He keeps talking about getting some cow boy boots and I just don't know what to say.
Reports, exams,......ok, it will be summer holidays soon and then she'll be exhausted from the kids keeping her busY!0 -
