Didn't you say this place is super warm anyway? Somewhere draught free is probably enough. Worst comes to the worst you could make the bowl a hotty
In all seriousness, I get bread to rise in the fridge that is my house my putting the bowl with the rising dough on the top of the oven. It used to be in the airing cupboard when we had a working tank. Sometimes, its been near the wood burner. But if I can get bread to rise anywhere in this place it will rise in your place I reckon.0 -
You may have answered your own question here.
It is not a competetion. If the one who is the worst is the only ones to attend it would not be much of a group would it?
Yes, go.
We would not get bored. We spent a whole evening talking about colon procedures and wee on Tuesday. We may not however have the understanding and know how that a group of 'expert' patients/allies have.one day i'll tell all then you'll be sorry :rotfl:

Not the rubber shoes...but the heel is falling off my work shoes and I had been meaning to glue it back on for a while so no doubt I still managed to look like a tramp even in my suit .
Your feet were under the table . You could have been shod by Jimmy Choo, or in slippers.
I am still impressed by you being raised in the neighbourhood mansion.
Any deprivation you suffer is, imo, by choice. Your are putting yourself through a poorer mid life to have a richer older life. This is probably a better situation than those who live for today and do not provide for the long term.
Have the new students arrived and settled in?0 -

No we wouldn't we'd be sympathetic.
One caveat.
You are pretty 'go get 'em' sometimes and might get frustrated by other's attitudes by their problems. When I had the vision problems from this secondary thing I joined an online support group and the bunch of whiners depressed me no end. I'm sure they were helping wind me up, and I got really very frustrated with them complaining about some things. This is unfair because their problems are not comparative, they are particular to them. I think more than not receiving sympathy for your problem you view as lesser you might find peon saying how they cannot cope with 'less'. (And for them it doesn't feel less...I get that) can be a bit......frustrating.
Take the good, because you sound like you can, but be aware of the trap of negative cycling some fall into so that if you see it you are not too frustrated!0 -

One of the first things michaels said to me as I sat next to him was 'you're not going to talk about innards are you?'
We can cope with whatever you want to talk about missk, and whatever you don't want to talk about is also fine.0 -

They'd be hidden. Better with his sheep outfit may be?
I shall always wonder why that sheep has two pairs of ears. And a zigzag belt of red and blue. It's hilarious that sheep suit. If you thought the doge outfit was 'interesting' ......0 -

We now of course have to go (after a respectful interval) and get another bunny from a rescue to keep the bereaved boy bunny company0 -
Dinner for 8 tonight - and for the next 2 weeks.
New students are both 16, not very tall at all and look so young (first one is 17 and 5'9) so comparatively they look like babies. For one it is her first trip abroad and for both the first trip away from their parents, they seem well up for it but I bet their mummies shed a few tears at the airport.
DS and I are also now in a house with 6 women, we'd better try boosting our testosterone levels somehow...I think....0
