Thanks for letting us know. I've been wondering for a couple of days how it went! Kept forgetting to ask!

    All the best fella!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Cuirosity got the better of me and I looked back to see what could have introduced the topic of umbrellas.

Found a post with a link and tried it. Got as far as my laptop shouting at me "my x is my *" and switched back to the thread to ask how in heavens name did anyone come across that?

There is a follow up question...how many NP got further in the clip than I could?.

Oh spirit. You have made me laugh!

Maybe its me who has a fundamental lack of curiosity, Which considering my evangelical new embracing of colonoscopies is something.

No one wants to buy tickets to the jazz thing in the village from me. :(. It's getting a bit silly now. I've only sold four. (Edit...tbc...more have sold,..but no one wants to buy from the new girl of the committee because they don't want to let the people they usually buy from down, and no one who doesn't usually come wants to come because the evening has a reputation that's need a few years to chip a way at.....but I need a few people to come and whoop at the side show to get the rest of the committee to see the merit in the plan.

It's also tough to sell anything other than trad out here. :(. Then the rest of People assume they don't like jazz because they assume its all trad or modern jazz.

    Sigh.

All this talk of swimming....and the hot weather....I think that the Boss and I will be swimming in lake cake if its as hot as they promise. Or is colonoscopies still relevant I wonder? I'll let you know how orange it is this year.

Village politics eh, LiR? Hope the event is a success anyway.

Listening to Laura Marling's new album, enjoying it but I prefer her earlier stuff.

    Good luck Masomnia.

Internships are a bit of an irritant to me; if someone's working for you, you pay them. If they don't have much experience, you pay them less, but still pay them - and I say that as an employer.

we don't pay our interns :o I don't really accept many of them (we get a lot because everyone wants to work in our field) and I tell them honestly that we have no money to pay them but they still come and work for free.

They do get a good skill that really helps them stand out later in life though and they are first in line for when we have paid things available.

I did hear a comedien once describe him as proof prison worked - he didn't reoffend...

I have just got home. I blame you lot, I meant to have one quick drink and then go home early!

I didn't get in until about midnight and definitely drank too much....so apologise if I was too loud and over talked anyone...I really try not to :)
I just get so excited at meeting new people....it's embarrassing I think.....note to self I should get out more. OH says it's because we don't have a shop anymore as we used to gossip to strangers all day long in Brighton.

I also had a load of questions to ask some NP's and then forgot or didn't get the chance.
Mind you I could have had an extra 30 mins that I spent sitting as 'FC-No Mates' leaving messages (that no-one picked up) before I recognised MS.:o;)

I also hope I gave MS enough £ as I didn't really add up my food properly (I paid the 2 bottles separately)

The meeting was going really fine, and then FC bought yummy red wine!!! I didn't realise how much I had had until we went outside and I couldn't walk in a straight line. Goodness knows what embarrassing things I said, although I have a strong recollection of telling the waitress that she had a lovely smile.

Anyway, I had a really lovely time and it was such fun meeting my pen friends. Thanks to Zag for organising it, and thanks to all those who made it, especially those who travelled such a long way.
:rotfl::rotfl: It was nice stuff wasn't it? You soooo remind me of someone....maybe a famous person but can't place it.
I far from fabulous btw, bit frayed around the edges though.

I did have a bit of a headache this morning and OH had the nightmare day of organising MIL's furniture removal ...some from our house to studio then some from studio to hers 2 big sofas and tables etc. ...and it all kicked off @ 7.30 am *ouch*.

    When is it?
If you were within a 30 min drive I would get some from you....love a jazz night and I would make OH dance with me (he only does it to make me happy).

Well, next summer I will do Margate Beach Picnic /Open House for any NP's who can bear to spend a few hours with me again as I think we will do the Empty homes grant/ loan application as we can get her up and earning by March 2014 then.
