Glad you all had a good time!

    How many of you met?

Can't remember who wanted to post on the other side, but it has bandwidth at the moment.

As I say I'll get a lot out of it. I've been stuck in that rut where you need experience to get the job, and every job wants experience; so where do you start? If they're willing to pay me in experience I'm happy with that, seems fair to me.

    Good luck Masomnia.

Internships are a bit of an irritant to me; if someone's working for you, you pay them. If they don't have much experience, you pay them less, but still pay them - and I say that as an employer.

Another issue is revealing my weight, which really is a no, no. OH has booked for us to see the grand canyon by plane and they need to know my weight. It is almost enough to make me decline the excursion.

Right behind you there - or possibly not as they might not allow me on the plane anyway..... :p

Had a very good day in London yesterday: very successful meeting(s), a nice stroll around one of the great cities to walk through and then dinner and drinks with some nice people.

The meeting was going really fine, and then FC bought yummy red wine!!! I didn't realise how much I had had until we went outside and I couldn't walk in a straight line. Goodness knows what embarrassing things I said, although I have a strong recollection of telling the waitress that she had a lovely smile.

Anyway, I had a really lovely time and it was such fun meeting my pen friends. Thanks to Zag for organising it, and thanks to all those who made it, especially those who travelled such a long way.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Good to hear you're enjoying it :)

On the other hand, I'm in Oslo today, to get some contracts signed, and I'm getting the last flight back tonight.

I was tempted to pop up to Narvik, to see someone I went to Uni with, but thought I'd better not, as I'm out on Events tomorrow night

Here's the view from my 'office' this afternoon. It's cool, but the weather is lovely.

CK, that would be my kind of office!

lir, on the other forum I go on, I have met probably about 60 people, some on a lone night out, others that live close by ahve become friends. Had one nutter, but all the others have been overwhelmingly lovely people that I'm pleased to have met. In fact one is popping round to mine tonight for drinks.

Maybe I'm an optimist, but most people are pretty OK, she said in true Pollyanna fashion!
