I think I would lose weight after the first few days if jelly was the only option.

My phone is now a brick despite (because of) 5 wasted hours yesterday :-(

Still at least it is Sunday which means the other Michaelss at church and I get a lie in, the 100 item to do list can wait.
Why does this read like the premise for a simpsons episode?:D
Imagining the phone in pieces next to a broken hammer and chisel

On another matter, what do the NPs feel about this? Agree with it or not?

Taking the hammer and chisel to it may be the next step :(

When I was younger I always thought I was Bart Simpson...age and wisdom has made me realise I am Homer - doh!

Read your link - a bit was stating the obvious and no amount of money makes up for a commute of more than an hour each way definitely makes sense in my book. Loved the bit about having kids make syou happier...when they leave home as you can appreciate it - reminds me of a childerns book we have, squash and a squeeze - the woman complains her house is too small, wise man suggests she take all her animals in to the house which makes things worse but once she chases the animals out again suddenly the house is just perfect. Which brings us nicely on to happiness, someone very dear to me is always looking for the bad/sad in people and circumstances and it certainly doesn't make her any happier in life....

Studies collated by the database say you tend to be happier if you:
    • Are in a long-term relationship
    • Are actively engaged in politics
    • Are active in work and in your free time
    • Go out for dinner
    • Have close friendships (though happiness does not increase with the number of friends you have)
And there are some surprising findings:
    • People who drink in moderation are happier than people who don't drink at all.
    • Men tend to be happier in a society where women enjoy greater equality.
    • Being considered good looking increases men's happiness more than it does women's.
    • You tend to be happier if you think you're good looking, rather than if you actually, objectively speaking, are.
    • Having children lowers your happiness levels, but your happiness increases when they grow up and leave home.

I score either a 0 on all those, or they're not relevant :)

I'm happy. Happy in myself.... a little annoyed rather than unhappy that sh.it's not going that well at the moment.

    ...making green jelly ...
I have a recipe for that .... that's pretty "uber posh".

It's a Lorraine Pascale recipe, but the BBC either make it hard to find her photo/recipe, or they don't bother to..... but here's somebody that made them:

She did them on yesterday morning's TV programme (re-run no doubt). And you don't have to use alcohol - can just use lemon for the lemony ones.

I thought so - she said "put them in the freezer, then take them out an hour before you want to eat them"

I dropped in the link, so you know they're out there.... and I thought you might like to consider them if we ever get a summer this year and if you fancy a Posh Fun Tea Party on your patio :)
