Not cute - tiresome! I spend a fortune in dog treats to tempt them in!as I'd only ever read about Eastern Europe and never been there
I was surprised how affluent it all looked. But much more impressed by the security. Tanks and armoured cars around the airport perimeter, serious looking fences , every second passenger got taken away and searched (dodged that bullet) just as a routine. In fact I noticed that all the westerners on the plane were in different seating rows from the easterners so they coudn't just get into idel conversations.
!;)
Mr bugslet used to run out to Iran aqnd Iraq in the 70s via, well just about anywhere that he didn't have a permit for. Mostly resolved by the exchange of currency of one sort or another if he was caught, occasionally by getting his daily tacho rest in 'alternative' accomodation. He used to say that heading from W Germany into E Germany was a lesson in reduced living standards, then it went downhill until Romania, which was pretty much rock bottom.
Edit: Does no one else use the term Darlin' Ho' to describe their other half?
As a woman, I suggest that could be life-limiting;)0 -

Mine have middle names and non abbreviated ones for such times of naughtiness.
Kiwi, come. Kiwi, come. Holy kiwi fruit in rates come here now.
The latter works.
Edit. Found out kiwi's breeder has died. I thought things had gone quite quiet her end.0 -
Darn, outed on the NP forum - I was hoping my claimed McKinsey score of zero would fool you all but it wasn't to be.
Or maybe the Freudian slip merely confirms who wears the trousers chez michaels?
Edit: Does no one else use the term Darlin' Ho' to describe their other half?
Dh and I have many endearments for each other. I'd rarely call him darling in rl. I call him 'boss' quite a lot. He wouldn't call me ho because it would lack authenticity coming from him.:rotfl:0 -

Mine have multiple names to cover all circumstances. Including the addition of my surname! They ignore all equally.:o
That's probably quite a shock in kiwi world; the more unusual the breed, the more everyone knows each other.0 -
My missus hates it when I introduce her to people as "my bird"
I call it post-ironic,
She calls it "f*cking childish"
Whatever, it always gets a laugh.0 -
Inspired by a bottle in the pantry, I occasionally refer to my wife as my "squeezable honey". She's not very impressed by this, I'm afraid. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

And, the definition of 'gardener' often turns out to be: Old bloke round the corner that shuffles round and does 2-3 hours once a month for £10-20.0 -
While we're on the matter.... I've cut the grass (well, still cutting it - a few chops a day). These long bits I've got (12" apiece) .... is it OK to shove them on the border under a hedge? Or are you supposed to take them to the tip? Done half and half so far, but if under the hedge is legit then I'll just do that.0

You can just bin them. We have a special green bin for garden and kitchen waste, but a modest amount in the standard waste should be okay.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
