    I've been Money Tipped!
I love long grass, but with dogs it's a pita where they poop.

Mine have commandeered one of the barns which they use as a loo mainly It's getting ridiculous and revolting in there.

I don't think I can bring myself to thank that post. Are you feeling any better today LIR?

I'm supposed to be painting this weekend but for some reason my right elbow is really painful when I move my arm - must be my age and the damp :(
    I think....

    Ooo, that's really romantic CK!

OH beat you to saying that! That photo is 20 years old next month, and it's in my office drawer, but don't tell anyone ;)
I wander onto a couple of other forums and they are both quiet as well; I find that often happens in the summer months.

Saying that, I disappear for 6-8 weeks in the summer. It's going to rain today, give me Batumi already!
Flowers are looking good lir, send some this way would you. I detest gardening with a passion ( sorry jelly ) and would happily live in a flat, sorry, apartment, if it weren't for the mutts.

I wouldn't live in an apartment, although I did grow up in 50s Soviet-style fabricated buildings, that were drafty, dirty and ha a strange smell.

There is one in our town that I would consider, but it's worth £100k more than my 5 bedroom house

Yes. But I have bothered to ring the gardener two weeks ago, but he hasn't come round yet.:o
I really cannot stress enough how much I dislike all things garden related, though I can admire a nice one!

I think Pastures will have something to say about that, and I interpreted the second bit in a manner of which is wasn't (or shouldn't have been) intended

On another note this morning. I'm calling myself sensible, OH is calling me stupid. I'm thinking about ordering a Skoda Superb (the September one). £27k gets you more than a Mercedes S-Class (including more rear leg room), with just about every electronic gadget you'll ever need (the spec's better than my current car). Which of us do you agree with?

Several of us here own businesses, and don't advertise.

So my bet's with Michaels :)

£27k is an awful lot for a new car of any type, I reckon. I'm with your OH on this one, sorry.

The difficulty with this is that it's the same price as a mid-spec Mondeo/Passat, vehicles of the same-ish size and in the case of the VW, same-ish quality.

I should have specified that retail is £27k, I wouldn't be paying this for it (I have dealer contacts), but the interior/boot is larger than my XF, and it's about half the price.

    I'll think a bit more......

To be frank, the S-class is a much nicer drive. And you can do "Executive" jobs. Go on ....
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I wouldn't buy a Merc if you paid me; the gearboxes are more trouble than they're worth!

I spoke to one of our owner-drivers yesterday with an '09' plate model (this is a minor facelift), and that's covered 220k with no problems now.

I want executive motoring for family estate money, and although it wouldn't be plated (I nab an office spare) I still think that it's good value for a large estate car with just about every option available on it, but I have been spoiled for too long with cars!

Me, not so much. :(. Have had to cancel a long standing and much anticipated plan which has saddened me.

Hope you do very soon. Maybe it's sympathy tennis elbow for Wimbledon?
