My parents have 3 repayments of just over £200 each left to go.
I am suggesting that we have a small (will be just the three of us) end-of-mortgage party. They can pay0 -

i want some cake but it involves leaving the house.
this may not end well...0 -

50 mins of quality suspense, & I think I've got it, then the last 10 mins blams a sideways bosher round yer head!
I really like how the music enhances the show too.
Yes, I am
Really enjoying it. Think the soundtrack is fab too.0 -

I feel very strongly that its not a reason to stay anyway.
It's much better being single than 'together' with someone inappropriate. Hope she manages to work out what the best thing for her is (whether or not that is leaving).0 -

Someone was actually taken aback by me opening a door for them this week! What's that about?
I'm not surprised by people opening/ holding a door for me, but I prefer (probably a bit too much) to be the one holding the door for others.
I'm trying to train myself out of it and just graciously accept the kind gesture!0 -

Singles can't really afford a house, & through personal choice I don't want a flat.
Spent much of the 2000's trying to shovel as much into savings for a decent deposit, but basically have watched house prices gallop off into the unreachable distance for a single salary.
Guess I've spent about 6 years now "weighing up options".:o
I've FINALLY got myself into a position where it feels like I'm ready to buy (steady job, not living in London). I start looking, and no-one wants to sell/ house prices start going up again. I've got a very healthy deposit but seeing as it'll be just me, I'll be limited by salary multiples (and I don't want to have mortgage payments that keep me awake at night). I'm not sure whether it's all these govt schemes (can't really think what else it is which is making people snap up any house that comes on the market round here), but I wish they had unveiled them about 12 months later0 -
Phew! Caught up now
Just one more thing to say...
Happy Birthday Bugslet!_party_0 -
My pleasure
Just think - its all related to what happened after lunch
You might not want to read the next bit if you're eating dinner...
For me, the endoscopy was just the start of the study - the next 2 days were spent with a manometry catheter for a tail as I was taking part in a study of gut function. I have seen peristalsis in action
Afterwards was fine, don't remember being esp gassy. The main eek is the prep before - but then I also had the added excitement of an early morning whole-of-metropolitan-line journey after some serious laxative ingestion the day before
I always forget that not everybody had a time when their shared student fridge was full of samples collected but not yet taken in to the lab. 'Whose pasta is this behind the sperm?' Or 'hey, I'm really sorry, I just knocked your poo into the leftover soup, the lid was on properly right?' were both uttered in my student flat.
Thanks nikkster, no tail for me, I'm prepared for the laxative and fast before and I don't think they'll give me a tail. (I re read that twice to make sure I read 'tail') and so I think it will all be interesting and relatively stress free.0 -

Nice thought, but waaaaaaaay too early for that!:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Egg on white bread for breakfast the day before, and jelly (doesn't have to be lemon flavour) and bovril for the rest of the day were what I ate (I was told I could eat anything you can see through; and there is no fibre in egg or white bread).
You'll be fine, make sure you ask them to make sure you can see the screenI expect they'll be delighted that you are interested :rotfl:
