i pay £297.00 per month, but i overpay, not sure how long i have to go, if i hadn't overpaid it would be about 20 years. About 45k left, but i would like to move at some point as at the age of 49, i've never actually chosen the house i live in. The big question is if the daresbury science park will boost runcorn's very poor house prices; it's started to near the science park, but if it does to my bit of runcorn is a different matter.

In a moment to make michaels pull his hair out, i switched to an ing mortgage because a) it allowed repayments and b) there was no fee to switch...and that was it. Happily at the moment anyway, it's linked to the boe, so the actual cost has tumbled, though i have increased overpayments.

I'm feeling healthy at the moment....can always change in an instant.

One of my hounds is a bitzer, and i'm sure one of her bitz, is lurcher - very houndy, very laid-back.

Ps when i said aged 49 before, i was only 48 yesterday;)

    happy birthday:t

Guess I've spent about 6 years now "weighing up options".:o
Pick a cheaper area and go into semi-retirement.

...t can't get my head around this rubbish "leasehold" system ...
Let me explain that: People take control of your life and randomly demand that you pay exorbitant amounts for work that's overpriced and you wouldn't have chosen to do/do that way/do that year if it were up to you.

While awaiting the next laughable demand, you get to enjoy a life where others p155 you off with their anti-social behaviour, noisy, door banging, slack attitude to building security. You also have the pleasure of putting up with random prams/bikes in the fire exits/corridors and people telling their friends to park in your space because "you can find another one".

Then, when you try to leave, the shadowy people who make the financial demands hold things up so you fear losing a buyer.

So, you pay to have all control over your life, outgoings and environs ripped from you.

I don't understand the door thing. In my world people hold doors for people. I will hold a door for somebody that needs it to be held, or would benefit from it being held..... whether they're tall/short, male/female, black/white, able/disabled, fit/fat .... the door's held if it's of benefit and polite.

Dh had to go to a refreshed talk about equality quality in the work place because he did that. He said had he known he was going to be ticked off he might have been less nice and tries to
Peek down her shirt while he held the door:rotfl:

They go to the talk every two years unless they are inadvertently polite in between times.
I've never been to any talk, ever, about anything equality/diversity related. And probably never will.

I have no concept whatsoever about what'd happen in such a talk..... no idea. Clueless.

Without commenting on the morals, you can buy votes

Posted because I have seen contests where the winning person has suddenly been ousted by someone suddenly getting an unbelievable number of votes as the deadline approaches.

Thanks LIR and Nikki as I am just having a quick browse of the site while I eat my lunch :(

My pleasure :) Just think - its all related to what happened after lunch :D
You might not want to read the next bit if you're eating dinner...
Yeah, doesn't bother me at all, know one has to worry about me dragging you all through last summers 'will she won't she' drama this time. Cameras and anal......its some people's idea of a great date. I've done lots of endoscopies on critters so will be interesting to have a view of myself from the other end. :). I'm more interested than anything else (and a little surprised, but not worried at all).

The what comes after.....hmm.....um.....I guess I'll google. Gas? I'm guessing! Please tell me its just gas?

Do you get like a colonic irrigation as a perk?

Sorry for the late reply - popped back to Shakespeare land for a second opinion on my car's brakes (no, they don't need replacing like the garage here said. Naughty garage!) and ended up staying the night a la parents :)

For me, the endoscopy was just the start of the study - the next 2 days were spent with a manometry catheter for a tail as I was taking part in a study of gut function. I have seen peristalsis in action :D
Afterwards was fine, don't remember being esp gassy. The main eek is the prep before - but then I also had the added excitement of an early morning whole-of-metropolitan-line journey after some serious laxative ingestion the day before
