    What happened?

A victim of my age. Grew up as HP's exploded into unaffordability.
Singles can't really afford a house, & through personal choice I don't want a flat.

Spent much of the 2000's trying to shovel as much into savings for a decent deposit, but basically have watched house prices gallop off into the unreachable distance for a single salary.

Guess I've spent about 6 years now "weighing up options".:o
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

There are, but it amazes me how much people are surprised by it.
Someone was actually taken aback by me opening a door for them this week! What's that about?

The only single person I know down here bought just within the boundary but basically bought a shell and is fitting floorboards etc and making the house habitable bit by bit.

Everybody else needs both incomes to buy (we definately do).
I'd have been happy in a flat but can't get my head around this rubbish "leasehold" system (that nobody else in the world uses apart from Wales and Hawaii apparently)

Dh had to go to a refreshed talk about equality quality in the work place because he did that. He said had he known he was going to be ticked off he might have been less nice and tries to
Peek down her shirt while he held the door:rotfl:

They go to the talk every two years unless they are inadvertently polite in between times.

Could be any number of things: regs you don't know about; things that tend to delay an easy PP being granted; flow through the house; the way pipes and electrics run; room sizes optimised.

Any chance of two NP scans (yours and his), so we can comment (be nosey)?

I'll try to this evening - any suggestions for a good place to share pdfs - google docs (drive) work for eveyone?
    I think....

I always smile and say thank you. I try and counter any form of rudeness by any others of my gender to a common courtesy.

He doesn't work in haulage then, does he? :rotfl:I'd last 5 minutes in these modern firms. What on earth has that got to do with equality * confused*?

LJ, I always think you sound like a nice chap, but most men are in my experience through work.

    Tee hee.

It has nothing to do with equality, but people fail to understand that, He'd open a door for any one if it were appropriate. However he'd also stand on the tube for anyone in high heels. The fact most of these tend to be female and not over 80 years old is not his problem, As far as he is concerned he's seen my feet and his sisters feet after a night out or a day in pretty shoes' and thinks any one wearing them deserves a seat more than him. If it were a six foot bloke dh would feel the same.

As you say, probably not too many of them in high heels on the tube though.

Birthday not going well...driver in Spain done something stupid so 2000 euro fine and another broken down in Sweden.

As far as I know, no-one in haulage has ever made money - well not legally!

    Happy Birthday Bugslet!

We're doing ok here, need to make an appointment for James as his knees need bracing now, I did warn him to be more careful with his joints but did he listen? Did he 'eck! In his quest to not let the blooming EDS rule him, he is bringing the date for him to be in a wheelchair ever closer!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
