Enjoyed that and it shows his skills off.

I do prefer the live band performances though

Unfortunately, it has gone quiet on the band front as they are heavily into their exams and coursework....plus one of them possibly leaving to go into a career in the navy.

The drum covers he is doing at the moment were primarily for his music BTEC as he needs recorded material but he has enjoyed it so much, he is going to continue and build it up.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The blue will bring your eyes out and really suit you. You have got blue eyes if I remember rightly?

Yup,fair hair, blue eyes, pale skin.

I'd intended to make a matching bracelet, but it was so very fiddly with those tiny pearls that I didn't get round to it.

What's the difference between a music BTEC and music GCSE?

A BTEC counts as several GCSEs depending on its size. It's also based more on performances rather on putting answers on an exam paper.

I'm toying with the idea of going to an estate agent tomorrow- they have a couple of small flats for sale that have been on for while (one since Jan. the other since Dec 2010 apparently:eek:).
The more recent one, I'd only need a small mortgage/ could keep a fair amount in savings. The other, is priced roughly at the amount I have squirreled away (with the amount my dad gave me to match the deposit he provided for by bro).
My current flatmate finishes her course in July and is thinking of moving away. Her mum owns the flat, but I'm not sure what she would want to do with it. I'm guessing it wouldn't involve me staying here for the same amount of money though. There are pretty much zero houses coming up for sale in the two areas I really like. Ideally I would prefer a house... but it wouldn't have to be forever and I could keep a flat to rent out when I've saved up some more and people want to sell their houses again.
Do I go and look at the flats?

    Thanks.

I did music GCSE, and performance was a very important part of it. I had to do two instruments, and composition, too. And there was an oral test, sight-reading, that sort of thing.

Definitely worth a look, I'd have thought. Can't hurt.

While there are things you need to be wary of with flats - noise, iffy freeholder, dodgy service charges - I've lived in our current flat and before that our rented one for the last 15 years, and not regretted it at all.

    Plus copious amounts of coursework.....

Not sure if I said (I have been absent from here for a little while) but middle son also got an A in his end of unit Biology test, he has no clue how he did it as out of the sciences, biology is his weakest with physics being his strongest.

When we bought our current house we waited a long time until we found just what we wanted but then we planned to stay for the foreseeable. Will a flat give you much over what you have already? There may be more choice and less selling quickly if you wait till the autumn?

I am wondering whether to put in an offer on the 'development opportunity' tomorrow, it was 'sstc' but is now available again. I have found another couple of investors too :)
    I think....

The slightly more expensive one is share of freehold. The cheaper one has precious few details on the website, but isn't in a large block - its a listed terrace (which I'm sure would present its own problems) which I think may have been purpose built as flats as that is all I can see when I look up sold prices.

Edit: I doubt either are on the scale of the flats you've lived in ndg!

I might have to move out of what I have already if the owner's daughter moves away... Things haven't even been selling quickly in the past few weeks, they haven't even been appearing for sale (as far as I can tell).

There is a house I wish I had been to see. Was right at top of price range - was just about to bite the bullet and it went sstc (couple of days before Easter). I've been crossing my fingers that it would come back on the market, but hasn't worked so far :( Good luck with your potential development though if you decide to offer, Michaels.
