It's not actually that big - I know it's hard to tell from a photo with no scale, but the lapis is only 9mm long.
That is something I am very aware of when browsing the Internet.... the size of components in photos -v- real life.

In fact, when I have my "workshop" set up, I plan to have a board in front of me with a bead of every size pinned to it - and other materials - so that I can instantly see what size thngs are as I have no visualization skills and mm mean nothing to me. I have to see/feel/touch the size to understand it.

    :)

In that photo it did look like the lapis was 1"

It's not you, there's nothing in the photo for scale. Those pearls are very lustrous, but very, very small - 1.5 mm to 2mm (the pink ones are a little larger).
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Looks beautiful and delicate. On me pearls would look ageing, on you they will look good.

I didn't even [a] know it was on know what that means. I thought they voted last night? There's more? Oh my.

I've been watching The Murder Workers

What's that all about then? ..... sounds like a hot rumour that's passed me by.

The Big Night is tomorrow (prob on BBC1).

I saw something on tv about an ABBA museum (Ithink) opening recently, and they also had an interview with one of the female ABBAs saying they weren't going to get back together and make new material. Seeing as Eurovision is in Sweden maybe they're going to be this year's Riverdance (which started as an 'interval' show)? Would be great publicity for the museum (if that is indeed what they were announcing earlier in the week)...

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The blue will bring your eyes out and really suit you. You have got blue eyes if I remember rightly?

I thought he was a bit lacking in the comedy side of things. Didn't mind what age he was...

Enjoyed that and it shows his skills off.

I do prefer the live band performances though

I owned three singles. They used to cost 45p in about 1974.

I had: Donny Osmond, 12th of Never; Kenny, The Bump; Pilot, January.
