Oh, I forgot to add, for the first time in a while I've done > 100kms in the week FTW.
And I got chatting to a woman who works for the charitable side of our company to see if I can raise some cash for them by riding from Sydney to Brisbane and gathering some sponsorship.0 -

Yeah, my plan is to ride to Brizzie, not to ride a short way up the road and look like someone beat up a steak and kidney pie with a cricket bat.
Many thanks for the warning though.0 -
Popping in briefly to see the NPs, though no chance of catching up with all the pages, but in short, good luck to CK, PN computers are a mystery to me, but I hope you can find some way to circumvent google, plenty of !!!!!! production sounds like a plan at least:o.
Spent 38 hours awake due to work commitments on Monday - Tuesday, I'm too old for that now; takes too long to recover and too long to catch up on the rest of the paperwork.
Have a good weekend all0 -
Why are Google hammering you do you think PN?
Is it a side effect of something else for example or a deliberate move to drive a chunk of the interworld out of business?
We seem to be doing better out of them the last few months, than we have previously (50p/1000 YT views up last month)
We're going to be experimenting with Google Play, as about 60% of our turnover comes from iTunes. Is this anything you have experience of, Pastures?

Now there's no such thing as "Number One in Google". There's a loose closeness you can achieve. However, Google now personalise people's search results by gathering data on searchers' PCs and serving them what they consider to be results closer to what they want (based on past searches/clicks and geography).
I also believe Google is "spreading its risk" and instead of having one person at the top of a Google set of results it will be rotating a pool of contenders.
So, where as before you could be number one all the time, you can now only be number one some of the time for some people.
AND
There are more pages, more ad slots, available for Google to place their adverts. They also have a smaller pool of advertisers. The advertisers are paying less because there is less competition for the slots. So the revenue per click is down.
Add the two together and, for people like me, it's Whamo time for income.
I can tell you that 150 miles from home, but on the same PC, the first page changes considerably -even when searching things that are not area specific.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Can't say what it is, I would guess at a lump of plasticine or a beret.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
