It seems that the worst thing that happened to me today was that when I went down like a sack of spuds I did something not very nice to my knees and one ankle and I have now properly seized up and I cannot straighten my legs properly or bend them very far either. Getting my socks off was agony - hope there is no ligament damage as that would be more annoying than anything else.
I think I need a spa day too.0 -

I spend hours reading the bad reviews on tripadvisor trying to work out which is the least risky option. Trouble is that most of the 1-2 star reviews are written by loons (rather like the 5 star ones for travelodges).0 -

Yup!
And I was looking for Bank Hol Monday. I spent about 30 mins looking at lunchtime, plus a couple of hours this evening.
Done some sums on a scrap bit of paper.
Decided on what I thought the best deal was.
Then I thought I should call up first thing tomorrow and check they have availability before booking.
But I just decided I should stop faffing around and book it - so I have0 -

I also might chat to peoe in queue if I feel like it.
It's probably safe to stick to the British favourite 'weather' conversation. Earrings works with peoe other than bank clerks. If he is wearing chandelier earrings or something I would say he definitely is hoping they will draw attention, so definitely comment.0 -
I enjoyed Calvin Harris being described as a "Scottish knob twiddler".0

You can eat a lot of cucumber in one go. Isaac often has about that in his packed lunch, and munches away happily. His school doesn't do dinners, they all have to take packed lunches.PasturesNew wrote: »I can tell you "yes" .... then pretend I went.
Now who's the weirdo
Me, probably. I usually am the weirdo in most company.PasturesNew wrote: »I love veggies, but dislike the steam/smell they create when cooking (even in a microwave), so that's why, for now, I don't eat many of them as I sit/eat/sleep and cook in the same room.... so it'd get stinky.
There's lots of veggies that we prefer to eat uncooked - carrots, peppers, red cabbage (that is a lovely crunchy food), cucumber, mange tout and sugar-snap peas.
How to make a Norwegian salad - fry 6 sausages, add some smoked herring........much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
