It might also be hypoglycaemia. The sweating is one of the symptoms. Anyway, hopefully the doctor will get to the bottom of it, and it won't turn out to be serious. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I'm at the top of a 100' cliff, so the sea won't be coming to me. More likelihood of flooding from a stream though....0 -

I am terrible at buffets, I always sit down starving, eat all the rolls and then by the time the proper food is available I am stuffed
Must be a POSH ALERT!!!
Maybe there are different classes of buffet, of which I know nothing.
When I say buffet, I mean: Local pub, £6-7 a head. Toby Carveries, £5 a head. Nothing with rolls!
My dad used to say there's no point having more money than you need as you can't eat two dinners..... I believed that to be true. Now I discover there is different/better food, at higher prices, that the richer people can buy.
Lunch today was: half a baguette, mature cheddar, sandwich pickle. Cost = 35p. That'll be tea too as when I bake baguettes, it's two, then cut in half, hence four meals.0 -

I wrote that during an enormous hail storm but it's passed over. No sun, though.
I know the feeling. I'm about 600' up & was watching the muddy water flowing down the lane like a torrent. Luckily there's a river at the bottom of the hill so it has somewhere to go.0 -
A stat for Generali
Bearing in mind , this guy was voted best manager of all time in Sky poll.
Since Arsene Wenger last won a trophy at Arsenal, all other 91 English league clubs have changed their manager.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

If I couldn't eat two dinners, I wouldn't have this extra half stone still to shift....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Makes my lunch seem expensive, 2 slices of bread 5p, 1/4 pot of sandwich spread 50p, 1/5 packet economy tomatoes 16p (and that doesn't include 4 bits of fruit - 65p, packet mini-cheddars, 10p, and snack bar 15p) No wonder I never have any money.
This is where the buffet was, not sure how much it cost but certainly not within a price range I would ever consider paying.I think....0 -

4 bits of fruit? For most people that'd be enough if it were the right fruit.
Sandwich spread is either expensive or you eat a lot of it
A packed lunch of bits and pieces, cold, often works out more expensive than something hot/leftovers in a food flask.0 -

Is that true?
Thinking about it, it certainly is for the Premiership. As for Exeter or Peterborough, who knows? It seems reasonable.
As for Arsene being the best manager of all time. There are 2 generations of Liverpool fans (Bob P and Bill S), a load of Forest fans (Cloughie) and 2 generations of Man U fans (Busby and Sir Alex) that would disagree.
In fact I reckon Arsene isn't even Ars**al's best manager, surely Chapman was.
Bill Nicholson was probably better too, having won the 'unwinnable' double for the first time and completely reshaped soccer tactics for a generation. Don Revie was a great manager too: a winner who took a side from zeros to heroes (kinda). Then there's Sir Bobby who did a great job across a lot of sides, including international management. And that's before we start on the foreigners.
Arsene has spent a truck load of money: because it's on wages rather than transfer fees, football journalists are too dumb to realise how much money has gone out of the door. If you spend £10 on a player and pay him £2 a year for 5 years it's the same as getting a player on a free and paying him £4 a year for 5 years, assuming you keep the player for the whole contract (add zeros to the numbers as you feel is appropriate).
The best thing about Fergie resigning is that at last we have a famous old man on the news who hasn't been arrested for something unspeakable. Apparently for all his apparent spikiness in front of the media, he's a very nice bloke. He gives his mobile number to all new managers in the Prem if they want some advice and he has regularly used his wealth and personality to help people, including complete strangers.0
