We are out to get you PN, but we are just going about it in a very insiduous manner.
I am terrible at buffets, I always sit down starving, eat all the rolls and then by the time the proper food is available I am stuffed as I prefer to eat little and often rather than big meals - at the last company away day to Grove House we worked all morning so little snacking opportunity, I got to the buffet, ate all the rolls and then only managed a starter from the buffet whereas those who had paced themselves properly were able to pig out on 3 courses.I think....0 -

Well, they are not out to get you, but I still glance over my shoulder to see who's following me.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Luckily there was a nice person (although not a Nice Person) on the train who gave me some water and looked after me.
This is at least the fourth time this has happened, although the first time I have actually passed out on the train. The previous times I have managed to make it off the train and sit down somewhere. Expect I will have to stop saying there is nothing wrong with me and go to the doctor now.
As far as I can see you have 3 choices:
1. Stop being an idiot and go to the Doctor
2. Die of something really stupid and have your family standing round your bed shaking their heads and saying, "What a prat. If he'd gone to the Doctor it would have been fine".
3. Luck out and be fine.
I'd be going with number 1 myself. I have a fear of #2 happening, especially since moving here. "Seriously? Generali trod on/touched/ate/swam in a xxxxxxxxxxxxx? Idiot"0 -

If PN's weather is anything like ours the sea may soon be coming to PN0 -

You are fearful of being blamed for your own death? Curiously enough, same here.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Ah, times must have changed in Aus. Back in my yoof it would have been "Generali sat on the loo & xxxxxxx. It seemed to be the favourite haunt of redbacks.
I always envisaged rb spiders as complete misogynists given the percentage of times women have to sit compared to men0 -

Go. And tell us when you've been, so we know to stop hassling you about it. It may just be low blood pressure, but it might not be.lostinrates wrote: »It's all about the talking, but for me the laughter is the best * for me because it diffuses everything. A crucial part is he never actually laughs until I do, so I never feel belittled or that he is making me feel 'silly'. It's ME who recognises an adult woman wanting to have a huff is ridiculous and I laugh at myself first, but he GIVeS me that option, rather than going on a heated spiral upwards till you get to the point where you are angry but you don't even know what at...a body chemistry thing that is no good for anyone.
My mother is 'highly strung' too (much worse than me!), and my father dealt with it not in a heated way, but also very badly. Ridicule, derision, the failure to address the points which leads one to the point of such immense and destructive frustration is just another way of not communicating.
*When I started typing I thought that the humour was the most important thing for me, but while typing I have realised its the most enjoyable ways to back down, but the most important is that boring old chestnut communication. The laughter offers us both a route to communication. One where we enter the communication on the same 'side' and together reaching a compromise in front of us, rather than trying to find one from opposition between us.
I remember the first shouty kind of row that LNE and I had after we rehomed avatar-dog from the rescue centre. We were a couple of minutes into it when one of us saw avatar-dog standing in his basket looking scared (we think there had been dreadful conflict in his previous home and he was freaked out by anyone being angry/upset when he first came to us). Anyway, one of us uttered the immortal line "We have to stop this argument - we're frightening the dog" and it sounded so absurd that we collapsed in giggles and the argument was forgotten.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
My DW has a tendency to do that sort of thing. She has low blood pressure, which is of course a VERY GOOD THING! So, there may be nothing at all wrong with you. Pleased you are going to the doctor, though.
.
Agreed, but best to check.
I faint quote a bit, (actually, haven't done for a while:j:j). It's a little unsettling even when you know everything else is ok. When you are not sure it's a stress one doesn't need and that itself can make you ill!0 -

By the way, did you have breakfast this morning?
I came into the bedroom last night and found DW sprawled on the floor. A very worrying moment indeed, until I realised that she was on her exercise mat doing leg lifts.
as it happens i didn't have breakfast - i normally would but i decided to eat breakfast at work this morning as i was running late.
i have got pretty low blood pressure, the last time i had it measured at christmas it was 115/59 and it would normally be lower than that as i had just been smoking at the time . i think it's likely to be low blood pressure exacerbated by dehydration. won't hurt to get a second opinion from an actual doctor rather than wikipedia though...0 -
