Could be worse. Could be like les miserables, dancing gangs of bears and bulls, with the headline song of 'I want to buy in America,'.

Oh, I 'd love that. Really, it would be tremendous.

It's under £20 per head cash and BYOB. I could bankrupt myself in London.

We could all bring smartphones and keep posting here as if we're all at home so the stalkers would be none the wiser.:D

Why not take it a step further and continue to conduct all communication via this thread, staunchly refusing to talk or make eye contact with anyone else at the table. That's what I normally do when I'm out for dinner anyway.

I expect you're imagining it'll be like the Addams Family meets the (grown-up) Bash Street Kids!

I have just measured them using a plastic tape measure and they are 6.5mm. Each seperated by a knot. Bill was for cultured rope £765 (I have just looked under the pad for the first time!).

I also have some of the rice pearls..but the string is broken so I need to get them re-threaded. They are very white.

    .

Akoya, then, I'm 95% sure. They are probably highly lustrous?

Pearls are properly strung on silk, and knotted between each one. This protects them from banging into each other, and acts as a hinge so they drape well, and if the silk breaks, they don't all roll off in every direction.

I can re-knot your rice pearls if you like - I'll PM you. It's one of those things that's easy to do, and costs £40 to get someone to do it for you.

Actually, as its an open invite, to save anyone being left out it looks like zag is coordinating, is that right dear zag?

So the thing t do I think is yell if you want a pm with an email address from him.

This could be here or in a pm. Of course, of its here and you see that the odd ball you don't want to see is saying going or not it might change your mind about the thing.

My email situation is near to hopeless ATM. Hotmail is like piercing ones own gums with burning rough hewn toothpicks and not sure I can stand another oddball avoidance account. This is part of my hesitation in the loop joining.

Not getting an invite doesn't mean oddball.

I wish we had asked spirit to come. :). Next time spirit, will you?

    .

    *sigh* billy no mates.

    I would happily come.

There's a motorway service station we sometimes stop at on our travels north where it sometimes feels like the bar-room scene from Star Wars.

I'd better be careful what I say as its only a few miles away from where some NPs live. ;)

My data in the UK costs 2c per kB. I won't be posting unless I get a local SIM card. 1 half hour HD video = 1GB = $20,000!

Clerkenwell might be a good place to meet as you can get there from most bits of London (an thus the country) yet it's not full of !!!!!! like The City or tourists like the West End.

Seriously, I was coordinating and its quite clear that last summer I was as sane as a box of frogs. Lots on my mind and pathological fear of going blind. I didn't even provide food so flakey was I....the nice people brought stuff here. FC's chicken is the stuff of legends.

It's gen's show really. We have to fit in with his movements as he's travelling the furthest!;)
