Generali, I think if I were you I'd go to my doctor and get a set of blood tests worked up. The drinking thing really does not sound right to me.

    What tomterm said.
Glad I don't have a job. Had a horrid night and woke up groggy and upside down.

    Hope you feel better soon.

Just looked out of the window. Where did the sunshine go? Raining and gloomy here today. :(
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The rain is welcome here, my ground is thirsty !

The winds forecast for tomorrow however are less welcome. Besides all the fencing etc my tiny baby tree peony has only just recovered from the wind earlier this year. I saw a massive tree peony last year and I want mine that big! They are slow growing but I never understand why they are not more popular as town front garden trees, as huge is a relative term and a huge tree peony is akin to a small apple tree.

You ok Pastures? What caused that? Hope you feel better later.
It's normal .... I've struggled with sleeping my whole life and this is typical a few times a year - and when I am in any new job - and when there's a lot of change going on.

    :)

Nothing wrong wtih me, just a regular disrupted sleep night, but if I had a job I'd have had to drag myself up and out to a schedule and felt rough and under-performed all day because I had to hit that "get to work on time" target.

The kiwi however is running around the garden with a large pink soft toy (its bigger than him but he loves it). Round and round and round and round.[/QUOTE]

That's a lovely picture in my mind! I had to have Little Bill put to sleep yesterday, it was the right thing to do for him and at 15, he had a good innings.

On the dress dilemma NDG, yes the first one is Ok if you are 60+, the second one I like. Is it a hat occasion? If it is, get a hat first and then worry about the dress!

    Quite.

I have nothing against people using big words correctly and don't mean to imply I'm in any kind of position to sit as judge and jury on how people speak (I certainly am not!). I often hear really good speakers using just the right word and wish that I were so eloquent. I do find it quite distracting, if nothing else, listening to people use words simply to make something sound more complex/impressive or themselves more intelligent/well read - utilise vs use is a perfect example.

Police officers are the greatest offenders when it comes to using long words for the sake of it - I think they must be taught how to give evidence in a silly way:

We was proceeding along City Road in an easterly direction in a marked vehicle in full uniform when we was informed via our radio system that a disturbance was in progress at the Dog and Duck public 'ouse. We therefore diverted said marked vehicle and proceeded to the public 'ouse and when we arrived the disturbance was still in progress....
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Has anyone else played the google animation today? It is my favourite one yet. I love the inventiveness and random homages. I don't know about anyone else but it makes me go away and look up a whole bunch of people I've never heard of.

I just told big fat fibs to apply for a job. They said a degree was essential (it's not) ..... but it's stuff I've been doing for 10 years so I just ignored that bit.
