Gen, if it's on your mind that much I think I would go sooner rather than later and get the ball rolling.
CK, think that is pretty accurate. They don't seem to have a lot of substance, but on the other hand they tell a group of people exactly what they want to hear - always a vote winner irrespective of being able to carry out the promises.0 -
I'm not saying don't worry about it and ignore but I get spots on my head under my hair sometimes and may scratch them when washing my hair before realising they are there then if they form a scab it is more likely to itch as the hair continues to grow through the scab. I bet this is much more common than anything sinister.I think....0

We'll see what it is.
I don't really get spots on my scalp (maybe one or two in my life excepting measles etc) and Mrs G has identified this as a mole. I'm pretty sure I know what it is although I didn't do 7 years at medical school so I'll trust a doctor to make the final diagnosis.
Over here, skin cancer is very common: I think it's the #1 killer after smoking, drinking and over eating. It's normal to have cancers cut out of your skin. Mrs Generali was scandalised when she went to the doctor with a mole in the UK and his first response wasn't to refer her to a plastic surgeon for removal!
I live a very outdoor life considering I work in an office. Rare is the day when I don't have 2-3 hours of sun on my skin and while I'm careful I could be carefuller.0 -

I saw a figure (don't know if I can trust it) that every year in Oz 1% of the population get skin cancer. That's astonishingly high if it's true. I seem to remember seeing a certain Mr Harris in a TV ad campaign over here warning people to put sunscreen on their kids because "Kids Cook Quick!".There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

TBH that sounds on the low side. I know 1 person over the age of 60 who hasn't had a skin cancer removed over here.
If rain cancer was a disease you guys would be b*ggered.0 -
Gen - another vote for going sooner
As you said, a couple of nights of working later in return for peace of mind sounds like a good deal.
Meant to reply before re shared cycle paths - the only time I give cyclists a dirty (as in bad) look is when they are adult on the pavement instead of using a provided cycle lane. In cases like that I'm afraid I am very reluctant to move out of the way and will do my best scowl. I don't think it helps that my little bro got a police warning for cycling on the pavement when schoolage
PN - I think you should still go out and get some nice food. We had a very sharp shower here, but the skies have cleared and the sun is out. I can give you more reasons if you need0 -
Just noticed your new sig, Gen - tee hee0

There's a band I like with the lovely ironic name "a Sunny Day in Glasgow".It's hard to imagine life there before the invention of the umbrella!

I've never been able to think of a good one for myself.

I think you (and others) are right. I'm not on the pavement, it is a very well marked shared path.
I would much rather that cyclist obeyed the rules more because the more that others upset non-cyclists the less I'm considered.Just noticed your new sig, Gen - tee hee
Rude joke alert
As I was going to bed last night I pulled off my boxers.
"You spoil those dogs", Mrs Generali said.0
