I liked the downstairs (although the more open plan feel would drive me nuts with the boys) but the upstairs most certainly seems very squished, the rooms are tiny!

For that amount round here, you could get an awful lot more for your money....

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Taps ... I just want taps that work and don't splash you when you use them.

I was thinking about that and generally agree with you, then I started thinking... Well, actually I want mixer taps on all sinks and basins so I can't get get scolded. I also like ones with ceramic discs as they are less likely to need a plumber call out when they start leaking. Oh, and then they can't be pig ugly or stupid. I know some people like them, but I find waterfall taps fundamentally stupid and they look like there was a metal shortage and they couldn't be finished.

My advice for anyone looking for the perfect man is to hang around smollensky's in canary wharf around 4.30-5.30pm on a Friday. Oh yes. However, don't clog the bar up by ordering cocktails. Thanks.

Today was A Very Good Day. Had a chain buyer in and was a good result.
Funny thing was the Bangladesh news is on peoples minds and we were discussing price (well, I ask a price then they try to push me down) and she then didn't push it.:)

Doubt it will translate to haulage rates. Too many companies undercutting to get work and then cutting corners and driving hourly pay down. By the time you can get more for stacking shelves at a supermarket than you can for being responsible for £100k of kit + load, there is something very wrong.
I am sore tonight, have a frightful rash all over my face, lame on both legs and back.:(.

    Been a very mixed day

Hope today is a better day for you lir. It's chilly but blue sky and sunny here in Manchester.

Blimey - I never fail to be utterly staggered by the amount you lot seem to be able to find to buy houses :)

    Staggered....!!

    :)

    .

If it's any help PN, I'm a lot nearer you on the wealth scale! And living oop North means that my house is worth so little in comparison that I could never move south!

15 years ago when I opened an office not far from michaels we debated buying a flat....but they were sooooo expensive compared to here....go on, you can all laugh now:o
One of my sisters has an HGV licence, and worked part-time that way when she was a student.

She doesn't look much like a stereotypical lorry driver - she's 5 ft 4, slim, and fair haired. She found almost all her fellow lorry drivers were polite, helpful and considerate, but she did come across a fair few muppets, too.

She was delivering a load of marquees once, to a racecourse, and the bloke in security announced when she arrived, "never thought I'd see Barbie driving one of these! Do you know you need a special licence, luv?"

She managed not to deck him, which was an exhibition of great self-control.

The lorry driver herself is now in the other place (-:

I once went in to a government place with one of my drivers. I was driving, he hops out, speaks to the guy on the barrier, driver waves me over to go and sign in as well at the gatehouse. We wait a few minutes to sign in and the chap behind the counter looks at me, then looks at my driver and says, 'Does she have to come in?'........Not often I'm speechless but I was doing a fine impression of a goldfish!

I agree - the upstairs does definitely feel very different, personally I'm not so keen on everything being so open planned, but can still appreciate it is a very nice house (and the fact it is in price and area you want...)

Can you try and see it this morning?

Back and left leg feel stronger this morning. Right leg is stronger too, but lame. not has upset right leg so badly. My face still looks like I washed it with bleach !

Still. My theory about a decent shower or bath putting me in a better mood is proven correct, I am certainly relaxed and sanguine this morning!

Edit...Actually, I cannot even work out what those sentences were meant to say!

The first time I read that I thought you had three legs: back left and right.

Left right and walking stick. But the stick doesn't hurt.
