Only bringing it up because your typos make me smile so much (and I struggle when I'm on a touchscreen), but I the thought of a Gary suit with a yellow tie made me chuckleEven more so because Gary makes me think of Gary Wilmott and a programme called 'Me and You' (I think) that we used to watch when we were little

How much does it cost to convert a 3 bed shoddy detached to a 5 bed luxury property?
I ask because there is a 3 bed shoddy detached on a really big plot near here on the market for about 700k and a nearby top of the range job sold recently for 1.2m. Surely it can't cost 500k to do up and extend??
I know the answer to this one - about 150k - less if you are a builder.
Our builders did a house in High Wycombe which will be on Homes Under The Hammer on Wednesday.
The 3 bed semi they did on our road which cost 355 and then about 70 to extend sold for 560, also 'our' builders. I am fairly convinced people will pay 100k more for a house done 'to move into' than for a house which would cost 50k to get to the same state.lostinrates wrote: »I rather thought it confirmed our initial protective nice person leap to defend the nikkster too. Urge. There is a lot of pressure on men to get this right (under the right circumstances). Rule one, at least in the early stages do NoT presume to know how the woman feels. Yuckity yuck.
Tbh, I would rather have a nice straightforward 'wanna hook up for fxxxxxg?' . Honest and less manipulative.
Given the guy is not of British background their could be a cultural issue here.
Plus (although I don't think this is the case here) couples can go through less close periods and then spending time with someone attractive might make them feel like they have a connection when they are at a vulnerable time. Not behaviour to be condoned but men (just like women) are human.....are you for real?Got OH to say something and I quote' ....but how can she feel like that as she is sooo pretty'' and the curly hair is to die for. I would kill for hair like yours.
Don't go near the fillers and muscle freezing poisons....eeewww nasty.......then when you are 50 you can be as shrivelled in the face as I am. I guess my face is bad as I am slim too,...but I am like PN, don't go near a mirror too often nowadays.
Gotta love the sun coming out as it's big sunglasses time again yippee
Something def going down in our area as everything has suddenly jumped in price.
Shocking fact ; our new soon to be neighbours had sold a place a few doors down from my mother. It's a nice place worth I think about 550k - 600k ish @ peak. Sold for ......850k ...eh? Where did that rise come from?
I can't work out what family has 850k sloshing about for a fairly ordinary 4 bed family home on a busy-ish road in a se london suburb.
Niks.....ignore the email and leave be.
House prices - locally which was an area that never really fell there is now lots more coming on than of late and a lot is hanging around unless it is reasonably priced or finished to move in to.
I'm with you on beauty treatments, I'm not religious but I do think our bodies are 'designed' to be attractive to us and they should not be 'adorned' with tattoos, piercings or cosmetic enhancements.I think....0 -
Oops.
On the relationships forum there is a thread about smear tests ATM. I thought some here might like I know that vajazzle was just referenced.
I said I wasn't! Going to vajazzle but I might draw a smiley face. ( jk) ( I am not very arty). I suppose I could go for an eye on each inner thigh and use eyeshadow to colour the irises, but I think I'd have to walk in like John Wayne to stop the whole lot smudging.0 -

:huh::huh::huh: But fc, you look amazing too - sophisticated and beautiful, while nevertheless human and approachable. And while I agree that lir's hair is gorgeous, it wouldn't look right with your face. Your own hair, OTOH, is lovely, and goes just right with your face.lostinrates wrote: »Some is ready though...the candles are forming well on the horse chestnuts, and the lilacs. The juneberry, only planted late last year, is flowering tremendously. I have some ranunculus and Icelandic poppies and white muscari out, and the 'early' tulips. The white ones are the best.
The wall flowers are grumbling, letting a few paltry flowers out at a time. There is blossom on at least two of the young pears, and on the young Bramley. The kiwi is quite 'buddy'. Lots of my potted trees are still worryingly quiet though.
The magnolia at work is glorious ATM.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Any cosmetic enhancement at all?
Bra wearing? Clothes wearing?

Nice people....undecided about mushrooms, likely to be good parents and attractive. ( I think the F in f c stands for 'fabulous')
If I had the photo bucket thing on this mac sorted I'd do a one night only viewing of me with straight hair ( and frown line). Though dh would flip.0 -
80% of the church-goers to the next to us only go to get their kids into the highly rated school next door to it. This school supports the 11+ and feeds them into the grammars in the neighbouring borough.
DD's school didn't at all and were really unsupportive and scathing of any parents who wanted their kids to do it.
DD couldn't get into this school as we didn't go to church though we brought her up with the christian principles of 'do as you would be done by'. I told the headmistress this and was laughed out the room ......she would have called me a heathen if she could have. However, she knew most of the parents were only attending church to get their kids into the school.
Like that where we are - good school 50 yards away wouldn't take us regular church goers cos we were different flavour of same religion but would take entirely lapsed members of that religion. Similarly now DW and DKs are at the school church every weekend whereas the 'true' Catholics are rarely seen there.I think....0 -

D you know, I don't think mine have ever felt fleas. I was wondering atmthis last year, the difference for this generation of pets to the ones when I was a kid, though I do have to worm the cats like a fiend....my childhood cats never case ended to get parasite burdens ...these do....
Flea in house means those horrid sprays though...treating the pets never enough. :mad:0
