    Dh took some photos of me with straight hair...

    That's one line though lir. Is it worth it for a frown line? Especially when there are such good line reduction creams around now. There was a report on TV yesterday saying that after so long botox no longer works, so could you not leave it in your armoury for when you are a bit older? I respect that it is your choice mind and you have to do what is right for you.

    Incidentally, unless you have aged massively since we met, you do look young for your age!
    Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

    Actually it's three, my frown crease and nose to mouth lines. :o

    I have some good temporary fixes from space nk. :o. But ATM I feel like I get up and rub so much stuff for various reasons onto different bits of me, and very little seems to work.

    I was actually wondering as well whether Botox might help the tgn. I might have a look at info about that.

    I lost 2lb this week, and still have another 7 to 10 lb to go. Which makes me cross. My trouble is, I like eating. It's fun. And not eating makes me grumpy.

    ?

    So, say five or six weeks if loss slows down?

    I'd swap for that situation!:D

    Less self absorbed subject...

    We went to this place yesterday http://www.ifordmanor.co.uk/garden.html. It is now my favourite garden, despite being a bit of a night mare to get about for the less able, I had to hang on to dh (we had decided in advance he was better than a stick for hills and steps.)

    It was beautiful, but reassuringly not overly pristine. A few nettles peeked out next t o peonies. And the smell of the wild garlic was impressive. We don't have any here, so I had no idea it was ready till I got there, opened the car door and ....there it was. It's interesting to think about, especially in context of the conversation about loss of smell yesterday.

    That looks stunning lir. It never ceases to amaze me how many beautiful manor houses and gardens here. When my American friends visit for the first time I always have to say "no, that's someone's house, not open to the public" everytime they see something old.

    You horrible.... man!

    How can you drink like a fish, scoff Maccie D breakfasts, and lose 3kg?

    IT'S NOT FAIR.

    <stamps foot>

    <sulks loudly>

    :rotfl:

    Sorry...

    Oh I'm eating loads!

    Just loads of really healthy, lower calorie, stuff that I wouldn't normally eat.

    I reckon I burn about 3000 calories a day without trying. So anything less than 2000 (which is still a shedload of food if it's all healthy food) results in pretty dramatic weight loss.

    I'll stop now before I dig myself a deeper hole...:o
    Was the sofa / spare room bed comfy?

    LOL

    You think that's bad? You should hear some of the fat jokes Mrs McT has come out with since I announced I was going to be dieting!!!

    Wicked sense of humour, that woman....:)

    Another vote for lir looking great how she is. I understand why you might want to do something to feel there was a part of thing that you were in control of, but it would be such a shame to make your face less mobile because your animation and expressions are a big part of your charm, so that I doubt anybody but you has actually noticed your frown line. Personally, I only ever notice frown lines on disagreeable people - they have more pronounced ones from frowning more often, but in people like you the rest of the face detracts attention from the frown line even if it's there. Don't want to boss you about though - in the end you must do what you think is best for you. :)

    Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
    Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    We all have parts that decay quicker than others. My mother has no lines on her forehead and she is in her 70s, yet she went grey (or at least started dying her hair) in her early 30s. I seem to be following suit.

    Someone said that you can either have good nails or good hair, not both.

    Obviously applies to females only, men only have to worry about receding hair lines.

    I would have thought hair and nails were similar in their nutritional requirements and stuff?

    I know the saying that as you get older you have to choose whether you want a good backside or a good face (the idea being that a slim body on angling person might result in a gaunt face, while a well filled face is above a rather better filled body). That's rubbish though. Although rather large my backside is still fine.....pert, and round. (I do not worry about a big backside, I take the J. lo line that its feminine to have curves, I like having a round backside) where as the weight really has changed my face a lot. :o. My nose, weirdly, seems bigger.

    Won't you have the chance to take it out on somebody by being really beastly in cross-examination?
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
