Amazing police response today, it was impressive.

I went to court, only to be told that I was 3 days early - the case is listed for Monday. I came home, and 10 minutes later two policemen turned up. OH had his bike nicked, reported it online, and the policemen turned up at our door 22 minutes after he filed the report!

Did he have to put down is occupation in the report? I always suspect lawyers will receive the best treatment in A&E etc due to the risk of being sued should any mistakes be made. After all no one knows if a 'lawyer' might happen to be a liability litigation expert...

    Not sure, he didn't say.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Just read a thread about blue badge holders

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4536575

All that aggro, from other blue badge holders, suggests I don't want one. :).

Fwiw, my non resident parent has one, and is more able bodied than me though!

IIRC our dear Inspector Monkfish experienced the same when asking a question regarding a blue badge for his daughter...

I had a good experience from a bank and it was Santander (shocked smiley).

On Easter Saturday I phone to ask them to update my isa to their new issue higher rate but rather than getting this actioned I got a call handler who booked a call back as they were too busy to actually take calls.

I missed the call back and when I finally got through their call queues again they had cut the rate. I put in a speculative 'complaint' stating if they had been available when they advertise for my first call I would have got the high rate and it seems they are going to honour that rate for me - worth 100 quid :)

I had a bad experience (again after last year).
As mentioned, transferred 2 fixed ending terms to their new offer. They transferred one of them into the wrong one (that I opened last year) despite it being a 2 year fixed rate with no additions etc.
My complaint about the delays etc went on & on (numerous errors their end).
Apparently they can't transfer it out unless I fill in another transfer form! Which they've sent me. As a result of their own error, they've agreed to leave it in there for a year, earning 4.1% instead of 2.8%.:)

    I have sproutage! :j
It seems that both the carrots and beetroot are popping out of the soil.
Lettuce too. Happy to see that. Planted a 2nd batch of lettuce today. Will plant a 3rd in a fortnight so trying to get a proper conveyor belt going there. Got some great tubs for lettuce from poundstretcher.
Still nothing on the tomato front - despite the fact that it has only been 2 weeks, & it'll be another 2 weeks yet. Whilst I am not worrying about them (yet), I'm wanting to check every other day to see!
I planted some flowers for baskets/bee attraction. Only did that last weekend & one lot of flowers is showing already (dunno which ones - I only really pay attention to the labels when it is edible).
Must get the 2nd lot of carrots an beetroot, as well as the onions out this weekend. Last lot of flowers will need planting then too.

Think I forgot to mention going to see Rich Hall last week?

very funny man. Did a hilarious skit on the horsemeat furore, which I can't do justice to, but essentially pointed out that we were up in arms about a tiny bit of horse that could possibly have found its way into mass produced, ill treated, highly un-nutritious and definitely unhealthy mass produced rubbish. The irony being we were moaning about our high standards with regards to our food!

Oh yes, went to see James last night. Went courtesy of a friend to the terrible academy in birmingham (spits). Rubbish venue. Great band.

Am going to see them again tonight properly, in a decent venue, in Manchester.:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have straight hair. Dh will not be pleased, I am surprising my self by liking it. It's the best it's every been straightened, it moves like really straight hair, which is incredible to me.

New hairdresser is fab, after all my concerns I booked in with him for a couple of months time. I think it's one of the best colour jobs I have ever had. It looks kinda expensive. Dh will love the colour. Of course, he cut far too much off, at least a hand of the length! I am miserable BUT I do accept my hair looks better even if I dislike it shorter.
