I use an iPad. Other than that I am currently computer free. I have access to a laptop, and there is another mac in the house.

Soon we will be getting a desk top and the debate is on about mac v pc but I think mac wins for dh and his not at work stuff. The hunt is on to find suitable software for me for the business for mac though, as most relevant stuff seems to have pc in mind.

You can install windows on a mac. and run windows software. I have access to both so don't do it but if you are only buying one, then it might be worth thinking about.

I am absolutely frozen. Been out for 2 hours and sorted most of the front garden. OH has chopped some massive laurel bushes back so need to sort that out after lunch by bringing it to the tip.

Wow. Missk, I am impressed. That is hardcore. I've been procrastinating all morning because it has been too cold to go get the food shopping.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Edit: thinking about it I remember last windows I bought was on a student discount for dh while he was still a student and that was windows for mac. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Well, I've now got on my vest, my warm fleece, my padded walking jacket and winter boots, so all ready for a trip to Mr T's. This time last year I was in sandals.

I had a brainwave yesterday and have put walking socks on underneath my slipper sock/ boots. Much better!

Not on a Mac, but I found MacAfee made my computer run reeeeaaally slowly. I think it runs a lot of things in the background (yes, that is the technical term). I find the free anti-virus software suggested in the MSE guides a lot better (not sure whether Mac-compatible though).

When my laptop was reeallly sloww a techy friend cleaned it up by taking off some of my protection.

I had norton paid for by my neighbour (they share our internet connection), macafee which comes with BT and free AVG which I installed after being colonised by an annoying thing that had attached itself to Google Chrome and AVG was supposed to be the answer.

I am now relying only on the free AVG and it is much quicker on opening up as it is no longer running multiple protection routines.

Just watching the end of the grand prix. Won't say who I'm talking about as others may not have watched yet, but there's some very unhappy people around end of race. On the podium, only the competing team clapped. Someone has really overstepped the mark and we'll have to see what happens as a result. And the weirdest bunch of pitstops ever.

Mr S is watching and I am popping in and out. I have just asked him why it is a criminal offence for Cricket anf Football to fix teh otcome but not for F1.

He has said it is because it is the teams that are racing so it is legit for them to dictate the outcome within the team. I still don't get it though as there is a 'driver' competition too. May be a stupid qu...Is gambling allowed on F1 winners and if it is what happens if the team fixes the winner?

Anyway it is exercising my small tired brain today and I do not think it very sporting.

LJ my vote goes to Wells Next the Sea and the north Norfolk coast.

I am absolutely with you on that. Try the walk out from Stiffkey to the sea. You end up with a beach to yourself, apart from having to share it with a load of seals.

Try this view from Google Maps. http://goo.gl/maps/4cCIe
