    Good Morning
Big hugs to Beemuzed & to Janb5 & Newster, I cannot begin to imagine how it must feel to lose a child.

Not much going on here in wet & soggy Berkshire, my lodger is cooking tonight, so we are having something traditionally Zimbabwean (sp) so that will be interesting.

I have listed books on Amazon & never yet made a sale, so I may try Green Metropolis. I have taken so pics of the stuff I want to Ebay, but haven't got round to listing them yet.

I have been working in my second job since January & have only been paid once, I'm seriously considering quitting as I do the work for the wage & not for fun. Unfortunately my boss is scatty, a sort of aged hippy type, she keeps telling me there is more to life than money, I'm sure there is for her, her hubby is a barrister & I know she only works to stop her being bored.

My DD phoned today to tell me she's applied for her bank charges back, she then proceeded to tell me all about a great site she used, where she'd copied the letter from. She couldn't remember who told her about the site until I reminded her that it was me!!

    Hugs to all
    Hester

Bemuzed don't worry about anything today if you want to weep then do so.Time stands still at times, and it makes no difference if it is a year ,ten years or longer .I always remember my late Mum ,she died when I was sixteen, and all the big events in my life she missed ,my marriage ,my children and my grandchildren .This was over 50 years ago ,but I still feel sad at different times of my life .You can take comfort that although they are physycally no longer here they are always in your head and mind .You can close your eyes and see that lost loved one so easily .<<<hugs >>. to you and your family and to anyone who feels down and sad today.Every day is a day when someone that's loved dies ,you learn to live with it although you never forget .
    God Bless x

I tell you what. I'm turning into a right old miser with food and stuff. I'm looking at stuff that's clearly past its best and thinking: Surely I can do something with that. I'm having egg chips and beans for my tea (all organic, including the oil), and couldn't help but notice some mushrooms turning a bit brown in the fridge ... and I'm chucking them in with the egg!

I did it last night too. Instead of go to the chippy for my usual Friday night takeaway, I used something up at home.

I'm doing quite well, actually. On top of the savings I've already made and my shopping today coming in 2p under budget, and my gig budget coming back with £3 change, I've baked a loaf of bread today too, using up the last of the old flour that I coudn't bear to chuck out last week. Oh, and normally I'd have a takeaway on a Saturday too, hence the chips.

Off out in a bit, hoping to shave another 3 quid off my gig budget. Everyone have good evenings.

    Hi everyone.

    beemuzed sending hugs to you
crazychik I'd forgotten about Big Brother, I've watched them all and each time vowed not to get hooked, but I probably will again!
catowen I love lazy days, my youngest DD had to be bribed to out of her pjs and that was at 1pm this afternoon!

I've had a stressful, horrible few days at w*** this week and I felt so drained yesterday. So much so that I'm determined to stay part-time and not go full-time again. DH is 10 years older than me and he has a really stressful job teaching in a secondary school. So today I've been working out ways to pay off our mortgage earlier so that he can retire at 55 instead of 60. The conclusion I came to was.... to go and buy 3 lucky dips for tonight's lottery :rotfl:
Today after finally getting out of my pjs I made a menu plan for the next 2 weeks, wrote my shopping list, made a lovely carrot cake in the bm, changed the beds, did lots of washing, hoovered the house and made a ham pasta bake using up stuff in the fridge and cupboards.
No Dr Who tonight because of the blooming Eurovision song thingy
    Have a good evening.
