RUBY PUDDING - neat alcohol is great at getting rid of the smell of cat's pee! Apparently, it's the enzymes in it; vodka works a treat but it's the only one I've tried because I don't like vodka and it gets the bottle used! I expect any neat alcohol would work just as well!

Cheers for the tip - the trouble is I'm not sure exactly where he sprayed so am going to tackle the whole of the downstairs area below knee level which would take A LOT of vodka :D . I was thinking of using Stardrops but I need to make sure it's cat friendly (we have 4 females, hence the occasional visit from the tom). I'll bear that tip in mind though for the future.

amie and ruby I must confess that when I was growing up, Eurovision was a family event. The whole family would sit down to enjoy it - with sweets, tea, biscuits, etc. Nowadays there doesn't seem to be the same feel about it. Still, I suspect that Britain will have another "nul points" year. :o

mioliere I may just have to look into e-baying as DS and DDs bedrooms are swimming in toys, books, etc, that they have grown out of now. I need to seriously de-clutter them - if I can get DS and DD to part with anything.

ruby when I had my cat I found that a deodorising spray (I think it was called something like Neutradol) worked a treat. It was in a tall blue can. I don't have the spray anymore so I can't give you any more info. I don't have my cat either as he just disappeared one day and I never saw him again. (I suspect he was hit by a car). :(

Edited to say: Just re-read that and it looks as though I never cleaned the mess the cat made, just sprayed it! Ruby, I did wash the area first then sprayed the spray. It worked a treat.

    Good morning

I haven't posted here for a few days as I have been poorly and feeling all pathetic and sorry for myself. :)

Looks like its going to rain any moment here, it's getting darker and darker as I type.........

Washer is on, BM on, dinner for tonight is tacos, veggie mince filling and masses of salad....feeling quite organised at the moment!

Saturdays are aways rather non-productive. I cant start anything thats going to take any time as mid morning I take DD to ballet lessons, come home for an hour and a half and then go off out again for DDs tap lessons. Saturday always seems to pass me by!!

Have a little housework to catch up on today as it has fallen into a state over the last couple of days when I have been all pathetic and sorry for myself. Will get SC on with the taco filling in a moment, get some salad made up and then that will be dinner sorted.

Have a good day today, hugs to those that need them :)

    Good Morning :j

it looks a bit dull outside here too so I dont think I will be getting any washing on the line today

DD is off to town with her Grandma this morning so I thought I had a morning to myself but I have some raspberry canes to collect from a freecycler and the weekly shopping to do. Got my meal plans done last night and my list made up so shouldnt take too long. DD is at dancing this afternoon so will try to catch up on some housework then, get dinner ready and do an hours' ironing. Just remembered I have an eye test while DD is at dancing so probably wont have time for the housework :o

I think Staurday night will be a bottle of wine in front of the telly for us too :p

Mioliere you are making me think about ebaying again - really need to shift some stuff. I put a few items on a month ago and about 50% sold, also got rid of about 20 DVD's on Amazon. Must get back into it.

Right Im off for a shower and to wake up DD

    Morning all,

It's stopped raining here, and is looking a little brighter.
This morning DD has her golf lesson and OH has already left the house to play, never up and about this early when it's work to go to (hmmmm).

I need to do a freezer check and whilst DD is at her lesson, I will do some shopping.

Hugs :grouphug: to all who need them, take care.

After making a mess of that post I shall try again.

Just taken some HM bread out of machine to have with some HM soup later.

Have to pick up a sack of potatoes from a farm that's about a 15min drive from my place. Won't go till about 10ish because DH is at work. He goes in early and gets home about 10. We shall take a flask of drink and some cake with us and stop off somewhere to "snack" :-) Much cheaper than stopping off at a cafe. Shall take my knitting as well lol.

This afternoon seems to be pretty quiet. Have to get some laundry done. Other than that I haven't a lot on.

Tonight DH and I help with an Alpha Course.

The sun is shining at the moment. Just now it was all grey and dull and looking as if it was going to rain lol.

    Have a prosperous day.

    Hugs all round.

    Morning everyone,

Got back from w**k yesterday to find the freezer had defrosted (door hadn't been shut properly had been jamming for ages so defrost was due)

Thankfully there wasn't too much in there, so OH has steak sarnies for his lunch today, made fish pie for Sunday and a curry which will go back in the freezer. So not too much damage at least I have cooked some meals instead of binning the lot which I would have done before MSE days :T

Raining here already, doing my potato plants good though they are really coming on, mangetout also getting bigger now, just wish the weather would brighten so can have my windowsills back again, covered in pots of veg at the moment.

Not much planned today, going to try local butcher today for the first time and will be popping to garden centre later

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all, just a quick one as I am in dire need of coffee! Got DH off to his KS3 examminer markers meeting. Bit fraught but have to attend if you want to mark and we REALLY need the money. We will see how it goes. Think the stresses of the last couple of weeks is finally catching up physcially as my IBS has kicked in with a vengence. Not been a problem for the last 18 months or so just the odd day or so but fear I am making up for it now! Am going to make a shepards pie so that it will be ready whenever DH gets back. HUGS to all hope you have a nice day. Pouring down here and have VERY unhappy boy cats glowering at me! Old Mac donald HUGS. anniebooklover Enjoy eurovision!! I love, love, love, it! I used to do quite a few eurovision songs in my act and even though it is getting a bit silly still love it. Post van just reversing so will be SATS papers will post rest later. Have a good day.

:hello: Goooood Morning fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

Haven't had a chance to catch up with everyone's news for the past couple of days so sorry if I've missed anything important :o:o

Did see the word "Eurovision" as I scrolled down - sorry, not a lover of that, I'll be doing something else instead :o For those who do enjoy it though, have a fun time watching it. Only saw our entry the other day ... reminded me of "Steps"

Rainy, rainy, rainy, here, so no laundry going out in our garden - although the chook is out mooching around for worms  She's not put off by wet stuff ;)

Having a few computer problems at the moment so I need to get to the root of that.

Got some bargains from Sainsbury's yesterday from the reduced counter, so I'm going to go back over my receipt today and use that to plan where those items will be slotted into the meal planner. Want to do some experimenting because I'm getting soooooo fed up with the same old, same old!

Have a good MSE kind of Saturday :D
