I agree that a decision is better than no decision and better than a continually changing decision.
My experience is that letting go of clothes that are too small (even if they are lovely and you are slimming) is better because it is so much benefit to free up the space. Also, there is always plenty of great stuff around when you do need new clothes - be that from other people having a clear out, charity shops, bargains, and lovely full price treats.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Hi all,
Sorry I have been AWOL for a time but have been sorting DD 18th- I’m sure I should be part of the army logistics corps with the planning that has gone into this:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway…….
GreyQueeen. I used to read every book I started as I felt if I didn’t finish it I had wasted the time I had spent beginning it in the first place. Now a book gets half an hour (tops) and if it’s not floating my boat it is off to the share table in my office building.:)
Films get 15-20 mins then they are deleted if I’m not enjoying them freeing up space on the digi-recordery thingumy.
Life is too short to do things for fun that you really don’t enjoy.
Pigpen. Very impressive flinging:T:T:T:T36 black bags:T:T:TBut does the stuff you boxed really need to go in the loft? I have recently cleared 23 years “just in case” stuff from my loft. It was a nightmare! There is still some progress to be made up there but DH is struggling with getting rid of his stash of tools, paintbrushes etc.:(
After the18th birthday yesterday I have recycled all the wine, vodka and soft drinks bottles.:D:DI have also taken down the banners, streamers etc that say “18th” and put them in a bag with the sparkly table centre and left over pink napkins. I am going to take them to work for my friend whose daughter will be 18 soon.:T:T:T In "the olden times" these would have been stashed in the "just in case I need them" box even though I don't have any hope of reusing.....Unless I become a grandma and need them for a DGD:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have sorted a large carrier bag of clothes for the CS and a couple of pairs of sandals that are quite pretty but leave me with blisters.:( No point keeping them as I will not use them again.:(
I know I am supposed to be chucking out but I did buy a week to a sheet planner type thing off the book people. This will allow me to
1. List meals that have been planned to use up the stuff I have in the freezer and cupboards.
2. Put any outings/ appointments on so EVERYONE knows where they should be.
3. Write an aim for each day on so that I know what I have to do. This will let me plan either large or small tasks depending on what else is happening.
4. List birthday/ anniversary dates a month in advance to go and buy gift/ card etc.
Anyway....Must go, Will pop back tomorrow
xxxStart by doing what's necessary, then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible:j
Christmas is not a time but a state of mind :xmassmile
Trying.....Very trying- as my DH would say

I went to a car boot today which had lots of very reasonably priced stuff. All of which, this time around, I passed on by. Things I almost regret not getting (note the "almost" :-) were
- some kitchen utensils that looked in far better shape than mine (which got vetoed because OH didn't trust me to throw away the existing ones. I could have sold mine the next time we did a car book, but OH reckoned that if the people selling thiers today couldn't get rid of them, I would have no hope selling my relatively knackered stuff. Aren't logical people irritating!)
- some shoes that wouldn't have fit me but could probably have been sold on for a profit.....eventually....
- a thing for the garden, one of those umbrellas for fitting into the centre of a table, which was going for a song. We don't have a garden, much less a table needing one of these, but I figured it was a bargain and could be on-sold for a profit.
- things people buy at car boots, like wool, knitting needles, a sewing machine, all going quite cheap. Well, cheaper than the main all year round car boots in our area.
- a flymo. Don't ask me why. But it was a really pretty orange and looked well looked after, like they had kept it in their lounge instead of the garden shed :-)
My OH was unhelpful in this quest, saying things like "why would anyone with as much stuff as you that can go to a car boot, enough to fill at least ten tables, let alone one, think it's smart to buy in even more stuff? "0 -

Yes it does.. it is my diaries since I was 11 and a few important childrens bits and other things I do want to keep but can't really put on display.
I'm up to 39 binbags!!! I have 17 and 2 boxes waiting to go out.. infernal charity shop being closed on a weekend! The very cheek!
My room is looking a little less cluttered which is nice.. but there is still a phenomenal amount to go through!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I made a start on sorting through the clutter today. I made a start in ds's bedroom and so far I have got 1.5 black bags to go in the bin and 1 bag to get listed in the hope of selling it. I feel like I have actually achieved something as I can now see carpet in ds's bedroom
I will need to check if the recycle tip is open tomorrow and if it is I will get rid of a few empty boxes.0
