Programme tonight at 10 on Channel 5 - Can't Stop, Won't Stop: Hoarding

Is it bad that watching programmes like this makes me feel better about my own 'habit'?

I sorted loads of DS things out yesterday and he now has a plastic box filled with paperwork ready for when he next visits. A lot of it is uni stuff and stuff from when he was job hunting. I think he will want to bin a lot of it but it's up to him to decide.

I've also got loads of bank books and statements for him. When he was little I saved for him quite a lot, mainly in Children's Bonds and Capital Bonds, which I don't think National Savings even sell any more. The interest rates were really high at the time so he did quite well. However, I don't think they were cashed in when they should have been and are probably earning little or no interest now. I'm not sure which ones were cashed in though so need to find out. He's going back to uni in January so needs all the money he can get.

I'm usually pretty good with finances but lose track of paperwork and it's annoying to think that it actually ends up costing money.

I shall look forward to the Hoarding programme - I hadn't noticed it was on.

I am struggling with anxiety today.

Doing a load of paperwork, which is great for decluttering (well, it will be when it is all sorted)

Im struggling to find a certificate for a course I attended in December. Absolutely no hope in my house. So comforting to pop in and read this thread each day as I recognise some of the thoughts and emotions you are all going through which must sound barking to those that dont understand.

I'm also inspired by your posts. Off to use some of this inspiration before it wears off!

While I think I am bad I am not so bad as to get a place on a hoarding show. :rotfl:
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

Small pile of shredded gubbins in the confidential waste bin.

Massive number of piles spread on the living room floor that have to be dealt with before DD comes home.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Douglas Adams got there first with that one ;) I quote it to my boss regularly (probably not very diplomatic!)
