All dressings etc sorted and put away. Actually once I started it wasn't as bad as I thought , after sorting them out properly and throwing out the bits no longer of use nor ever will be it has all managed to go onto the shelf designated to this in bathroom...so a result..

Also sorted cleansers etc out a bit whilst in there into 'using now' shelf, and 'spare' shelf.

Bedroom dusted, windows cleaned, and room hoovered. I should have really changed the bed too but couldn't face the thought of it. (it's not dirty or anything by the way, but has been on a week and should be done) . I will live, and it will wait for a couple of days....other things I could be sorting today while I have more time.

Time for a bacon sandwich as have bacon needs using, then I think I may go through some drawers in pink room. General cleaning can be done any day (when in the mood...lol) , but de-richarding is better done when I have a whole day to do it in case I get side tracked looking at things and may have difficulty making decisions.

Confession.....i bought another two lovely xmas baubles yesterday.......like I need more!....but they were lovely. Haven't bought anything else in sales....which is very good for me, and long may it continue.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Ok.......so in ONE drawer....aside from all the ribbons, bows, and pressie decorating stuff and tissue.....I have 18 small gift bags, and 27 bottle gift bags. I can't even remember the last time I used a bottle one so I must have had all these for around four years.

That's not even counting the bags of them in the dining room. I think it's high time I started using these up when i'm giving people things, giving people anything, as then they can use them for gifts if they want/need to keep them. There will probably be around 50 in dining room in various sizes.

Some of course I have kept as they 'look nice'....but really...i'm going to start giving them out. I have a small gift for someone in a couple of weeks which isn't for anything in particular so would normally have just given in bag from shop....it's going into a gift bag...right now.

Edit.....oh my lord. I was actually going to go through them Again to decide which one is the least nice to start off using the worst first, in case I suddenly need some...!! stopped myself and just grabbed one and pressie is now inside.

Another edit as forgot....have thrown out 6 old makeup bags, 6 other bags as just rubbishy ones, a ruck sack that is split and unusable, pit some clothes into a charity bag but not full enough yet to take.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.

Yay.....more throwing out of old dressing gowns X2, old makeup stuff. This has freed up another drawer, so all single bed bedding and covers, (not that I have one) in this drawer and handy to have if someone ends up at anytime sleeping on my sofa if spare bed occupied.

Another drawer freed by more stuff for CS, so put old dog leads/collars etc in for when I get a dog again.

Slowly , very slowly, the pink room is getting sorted.

Still have a fish tank to work out what to do with, bags of boots and shoes , plus a drawers of T-shirts, dresses, tops etc to go through , but had enough of that room for today so will just hoover it now and be done with it.

Time for a slob, cuppa, some tv, then maybe look at freezer or go back into the shed seeing as it's a nice day today.

I took 20 bags of books to the book bank yesterday in between rain showers, and I have the same amount ready to go either tomorrow or Friday depending on the weather. Did I mention I have a bad book habit? :o:p

Adding to the house stash has been cut off at source today, as both Paperchase and Boots sale orders have been refunded to me, saying the goods have been returned. I've just checked the delivery arrangements with Paperchase, and they tell me that I apparently "refused" delivery at a time and date I know I was here. So while I am now better off and less cluttered as a result, I am not happy about the delivery people - Y*del - is it you? - and will consider carefully if I want to order from either again. Meh!

Although I have had to do a bit of filing, I am really excited to report that I have found the papers for my tax return (self-employed) exactly where they should be. :j So all of the summer's tidying up has worked! :D Hope that's some encouragement when you are wondering if it is worth it. Thank you all for your encouragement while I've been ploughing through the house this year. :A

:) Well, managed to use a time-fragment just before leaving for the dentist (itself before w*rk) and quickly did the few bits of ironing hanging around the premises.

Went out just before 8am (having come back in just before 8 pm the previous night) and have been out until about 4 ish. Going to get the tea on and then see if I can time-fragment a few bits and bobs back where they belong.

:o I bought a paperback book from the c.s. today. It's one I know they don't have in the library and it has been on my to-read list, so will aim to get that read and back out again by the end of the month.

Got some telephonic errands which I will try to declutter tomorrow before work, as my brain is all tired and boggly after working in a call-centre for hours and more phones feels like too much on my own time (unless it's family or friends, of course).

Keep on pecking away at it, lovely peeps.

sorted dried washing into owner's baskets for putting away tomorrow and edited some of it into a cs bag, which is now in the boot of the car.

that's all the time I could muster today in between the everyday drudgery, but great going everyone above!!!

thank you for the warm welcome :)

With the £20 id made selling some of our hoard of clothes on ebay, ive bought a coat stand for our hall, everyone threw their coats over the banister and theyd all fall off making the hall a right mess and dangerous. It came today and so instead of leaving it to one side to "get round" to assembling it - i did it straight away - then sorted through our coats and managed to declutter 9 of them or the CS/ebay! :) There are still more to go i think but i dont like throwing OHs things out without asking him and today hes been at a course 9-5 and then Navy reserves 7-9 so no time to bother him with all that. So now I have tidied up the little corner of the hall and it looks so neat and organised with all the coats hung up and not in a pile on the floor!

I also have binned a few more cardboard boxes! I have a few more to sort through from the landing and then I think that will be 3/4 more to go in the recycling box. I also was getting some clothes out the tumble drier and thought "I don't like that top.. and them jeans don't fit" so they've gone in the charity bag instead of festering in my drawer (till id run out of tops I like and just threw on the one I didn't like cos was only doing the school run etc)

Yesterday I tackled the big bag of "odd" socks and got about 7 full pairs for DD, There were some in there that will no longer fit her and so instead of keeping them to find the other one eventually (WHHHYY??????) I've binned them!! And if I find its partner.. they are going too!! Was hoping to find some more pairs for DS as were running short on them... he's only 9 months old and so we randomly find socks all over place as he's a proper wriggler and likes pulling them off to eat lol. Found 2 pair in the bag but the rest are still odds! So hopefully working my way through the washing pile I'll find some lonely socks to pair with their already clean friends....

I also found 3 old very lumpy cushions in the trunk where I was putting some bedding away. Whilst id usually just leave them and pretend I hadn't seen them! :o I have decided they are no longer any use BUT instead of binning them I will get the lovely thick pair of black wooly tights I found in the odd sock bag (?!?) that my mum bought me 2 winters ago but which don't fit since having DS and I will cut the legs off and stuff the tights with the cushion insides and sew each end up and use them as draught excluders behind the front and back door as I've noticed we have cold draughts coming under both making the hall and kitchen chillier than they need to be. I have also decided this MUST be done by Sunday night... otherwise I'll never get round to it.

Feeling better already as even the tiny things I've done have made a difference. :)
