Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi all

I have been slacking the last 2 or 3 weeks, it is the run up to Christmas (we LOVE Christmas in our house and have 2 young children)
All decorations are now up (mainly all new this year old stuff got threw away)
All other halves and parents presents under the tree, need to wrap all DS and DD for santa to bring of course.
As of yesterday I went back to my cleaning rota, and have happily done my daily jobs for the last 2 days, and can already see a difference.
I was on a roll today and have listed 40 items on ebay, more to go on tonight when kids are in bed.
Hopefully will get that done and carry on with my rota upto Christmas, where the only thing that needs to be bought is the food :)

    Hello fever!!

bins out and I've grabbed all the delivery packaging for the christmas presents and that's out in the recycling, and put the presents in 2 places. need the kids to sleep at a reasonable time so I can start to wrap them, but hurrah! I know where the wrapping paper, sellotape, ribbon and tags from last year are, and I know I don't have to buy any more.

fixed a few things with superglue that have been bothering me for a while, which means i don't have to keep storing, finding, losing and checking for the broken off bits as they are now back in situ. Unlikely to be doing very much over the next week given concerts (with costume getting and lines/song rehearsing), homework deadlines, a busy time at work and trying to finalise the christmas stuff, but will attempt to chip away until boxing day. Kids go to their paternal grandparents for a few days then, I have to work but the evenings will be ALL MINE :)

oh, and decluttered headlice again, treated and combed dd on sunday, (and the rest of us for good measure, although we were clear) thoroughly recombed her yesterday - clear, checked her today and 3 huge lodgers had moved in. I'm just very grateful that both of them have dead straight hair but I really am very fed up with this.
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

When my son was a certain age group, I found it easier just to condition and nitcomb through on a daily basis (myself and him).

In fact, I knew we were poor one day when I asked him what he wanted from the shop and he said, please can I have my own nitcomb!

I have changed my working pattern. I am struggling a bit to get used to new routines. I am sleeping well but not much, and seem to always be 'doing' with no time to be not doing work or chores. I have to remind myself it takes me about 6 weeks to get used to drastic changes.

House is remaining pretty much 'visitor ready' (provided visitor doesn't have high standards!) Definitely, definitely worth the dehoarding, especially the ongoing 'stemming the tide'.

Lobby.. Some parents just don't give a toss.. complain at the school a LOT... I had 5 at primary and 3 had children who were never cleared in them and they had them constantly. 1 was so bad (druggie mother no sign of dad) I offered to do her! in the end none of the children would play with her :( and if another mentioned it to her parents they shaved her head!!!!!

I found the nitty gritty comb, leave in tea tree conditioning spray and vosene 3 in 1 shampoo with tea tree kept the blighters off.. my girls all have curly/wavy/frizzy waist length hair.. combing them used to take 3-5 hours!!!

Hope you got the children wrapped :p

I killed my sugar container by putting it in the dishwasher, not realising that the lid was plastic wrapped wood.

We now have a dishwasher-proof alternative, and the original is in recycling. Even though it would make a lovely pot for some ivy.

lol - no the kids aren't wrapped! (but it's an idea....... the house might stay tidier :))

we have the nitty gritty comb, but i'll try the leave in conditioner and Vosene as well. DD has waist length beautiful blond straight hair, DS's is very long for a boy too (but he doesn't want it cut). we had the same thing when he was a similar age, so I know it gets better, I just wish we could round up the whole school and parents and siblings and "sheep dip" us all at the same time, otherwise we all just pass them on one to the other :(

curly hair that long must be a nightmare :)

hope you adjust to the work pattern WW, and good luck with all the dehoarding every one

Yesterday, we passed on a bag of DD's outgrown tights.

1 pair broken trainers went in recycling. Outgrown slippers and another pair of canvas shoes have gone in the wash to be passed on when they are clean.

Also got rid of 3 posters and another bag of stuff.

Clothes washing was done and put on the heated airer.

DD has a horrible cough which is interrupting her sleep. DH has had a sleepless night and I have taken over at the crack of dawn. It's constant glass of water, duvet on, duvet off, socks on, socks off...

In between endless requests I have tidied out some kitchen drawers.

It's going to be a long day!

House is clear though with lots of empty space.
