Hi again
Noted I haven't been posted for almost a month, sorry. Plenty been happening. Had builders in which meant most rooms had to be cleared to a pretty high standard so work could be carried out. However no time for decisions so most stuff now in bags in drawers, cupboards and wardrobes or in boxes in garage. Workmen been gone a week and things slowly reverting. Boxes in garage must be sorted as they'll get damp and everything ruined. Last week actually took some items to charity shop for first time ever. It felt sad and good. OH has taken lots for me just never done it myself. I see this as progress. The lotions stack has been reduced and body has been over indulged in creams and lovely smellies. Things are starting to find there way back onto the floor so today I will clear and hoover so even if nothing goes out at least I will have cleaned.
I will try and post more regularly, I do read most days.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Excellent progress!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hi all
Been reading and not doing much. Hence house is horrific, especially since I was out of the country with work for a week and OH and kids were here, came back to mad amount of work work and no time to tidy. Extended work hours has meant that I decided to get a cleaner and she starts on tuesday:eek: I seriously need to tidy and declutter before then so that she can clean.

pooter problem solved, it was the slidey thing. I thought there was only the slidey-time thing and the stop-start and Mute options; if I wanted it louder I just dialled higher volume on the contol of my speakers.
Dunno how I managed to get it set low on every dad-blasted YT clip I tried looking at, tho.:o

well, strangely my Youtube is doing that too - I wonder if it's something from the website?I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thank gawd it's not just me; the world is full of stuff I don't unnerstand, especially tech-wise, but I was within my competance threshold by clicking on YT viddies and watching them.
Dang, this means that I decluttered a lot of dust and a perfectly functional 3 amp fuse from the plug for the speakers for nothing.
On the plus side, I did find the tweezers. And have the moral satisfaction of having dusted some hard-to-reach places with the ole microfibre cloth.
Tonight I have decluttered 2 pints of Gr0lsh from a public house and some money from my wallet. That's my social obligations mostly discharged for this financial quarter...........:rotfl:
I also did one of the Autumn Cleaning task list by having all the pans out of the pan drawer under the stove, and having the stove away from the wall to clean under and behind. One of my cooling racks had actual cobwebs on it (the shame, the shame).
I'm fiddling my way thru some decluttering and cleaning tasks and also took 7 plastic punnets, washed, back to the Magic Greengrocer for re-use in their bargain box. I like their anti-waste ethos; they even have degradable plastic bags although I take my own.
Keep on keeping on, my lovelies.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

3 BIG binliners filled. one full of old pillows for the tip, one full of matress covers and pillow cases for the tip. and the other full of duvet covers for my Dad to use as dust sheets! You must have met my mother; she has enough bedding to sleep the extended family. Not that there's enough room even on the floors of her little terrace to spread them out.
I did manage to put the frighteners on her about keeping old feather pillows, tho; they attract clothes moths.
Have been rummaging in the airing cupboard for my painting shirt and painting trousers, to take to the lottie, as treating the shed is imminent. I may or may not do it today (have 2 weeks off so no rush) but thought that I'd have them in the right place and simply change in the shed.
Today I will remember the metal snips and get the visible half of a chickenwire bogie off the back of the lottie. The other part disappears under the lottie-over-the-back's compost bin, which is why I can't dig the beggar out.You may have noticed that chickenwire on my lottie is a recurring theme. This is because years before I took it on, an old geezer used to keep a lot of chickens up there. He was an untidy s*d by the evidence; chickenwire and pellet sack and chicken bones everywhere. I've averaging about half a bucket of trash per square meter of soil cleared, and that's little bits, not the slabs and the chickenwire.
I need to clear the last part of Bramble Island first, as it's in the way, but bonfire season is upon us - YEAH!

It's a nice day to get treating the shed GreyQueen. I used to find loads of old bits of clay pipe on my allotment. We used to compete to see who could find a bowl, no one ever did. Th old fella that had mine in years past must have had a chimney on his head if the amounts of pipe I found was anything to go by.
I have about four sets of painting clothes, most of which don't fit. I think I may have to throw them when I make it upstairs to do the corner from hell in the bedroom which is still not done.:o
Also I still need to get to the charity shop which I think I will do tomorrow.
I think I need to start getting a little more organised.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

shhhh.... I have bought new towels. They are lovely and fluffy and the ones they will replace are 20 years old and looking very worse for wear. So I have thrown old hair-dying and paint spattered etc ones and put some in the cs box and have a replacement hair-dying towel from the worse for wear ones.
I've tidied the bathroom smellies and got rid of some dried up/not wanted ones. Other than that, 3 bags of weeds and clippings in garden refuse bags, it's lovely here - fresh, cool and sunny with the leaves turning, my absolutely favourite time of year and weather - so there is no way I'm spending the day in the loft reinsulating it.:AA/give up smoking (done)0
