Argos driver urinating in my garden - how can I get my complaint taken seriously?

Argos Direct delivered something to one of my neighbours - I saw the driver walk past the door of my flat as I was just about to leave for work. As I was leaving my building a minute later, I found the driver relieving himself in my front garden.
Which I think is revolting and disgusting (yes, it's a natural bodily function, but there are 2 service stations and a supermarket all within 5 minutes walk of my flat, all of which have public toilets and were open at the time), and shows a complete lack of respect for their customers.
I called Argos to make a complaint, the helpful Customer Service bloke took down all my details and promised that someone would get back to me.
That was two weeks ago. I called again tonight to find out what had been done and was told that they were unable to even confirm that it had been looked at, let alone whether it had been addressed. So I'm assuming that they've not done anything. I would have expected an apology, at the very least.
Help! What can I do to get Argos to take this seriously? Or should I just accept that that's how they treat their customers?

I'd write a letter and send it recorded delivery. That should get their attention.
At least if they call a naked identity parade, you'll recognise himNelly's other Mr. Hyde0 -

Typical Argos delivery men! I ordered a sofa a while ago and i have a green outside my house so you cant park directly in front of the house, but having said that there is a path up to the house , we are talking about 15 yds or so walk. The driver actually did knock on my door to inform me that he wouldnt even be getting the sofa of the van and bringing it in! I rang customer services , who didnt bat an eyelid and just said ..oh ok we will refund you. So i wouldnt hold your breath waiting for anyone to take action !!!!0

I had a complaint with Argos recently. (Nothing like yours! But same procedure) I took a faulty/dangerous item back. I was refunded in full-part giftcard, part debit card.. The replacement product I wanted was not in stock. (Pushchair) I tried to manage 4 kids and a baby round town with little success and felt forced to reluctantly purchase a cr*p buggy.(I had limited budget and needed to use the giftcard towards the cost of a buggy.
Long story, cut short.(sorry!) Bought the cak buggy went home and felt really annoyed.
Not really anyone's fault but really annoyed that I had bought something I didn't want at all (bearing in mind the returned item had a dangerous fault). So I phoned customer care. I chatted with a girl for quite sometime. She said 'sorry, nothing I can do, take the buggy back and get a refund' I said 'I can't, I've used it, and don't have the box, it's instore' etc etc. She said again there was nothing she could do. I demanded to speak to somebody who could manage customer complaints effectively. She ummed and ahhed.
Then I was put through to a lovely lady (not arsy and rude at all) she apologised for the inconvenience I had suffered and asked if a £20 gift voucher would be appropriate as a gesture of goodwill.
I was quite pleased really!
(then the buggy broke and was returned anyway-soon to appear on whatsgoingcheap.com I expect!)
So, in a longwinded way, I am advising you to call customer services and ask to speak to a complaints manager, or senior customer care officer. The people who answer the phones have no real authority or power.:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
If you don't get anyone taking it seriously from the company you mihgt want to give your local paper a call; I'm sure they would be interested in the story and Argos may well react in a more appropriate fashion if there was a risk of media interest, which they will soon discover if the paper takes up the story and gives their press ofice or the local store a call to check...
