At the end of the day, he has broken the law.

This is anti social and what if OP had a child with her?

If a Police Officer caught him in the act, he could get an on the spot fine. Why should he get away it? I could not squat in the street at the drop of a hat when nature calls and I don't think many would.

I would ring Enviromantal Health and see what they say.

This is not acceptable behaviour and for Argos should sit up and take a look at who they employ. Surely they can't see if OK for someone promoting their name, taking a leak in a customers garden.

I would definately take this further, that's the problem today, people are told to 'get over it', all too easily. I would have caused a big song and dance at the event and called the police.

    How dare he!

    The dirty dog.

I was the delivery driver....your garden was a tip so I didn't think it'd be an issue to take a whiz over your rhododendron bush (it's on its last legs anyway). You're lucky your garden looked so messy else I'd have curled a Mr Whippy down on your pansies but I was worried I'd end up with something from collection point A. (in the end I saved that for a pensioner's house two streets away...she had some lovely empty garden tubs...I can tell you they weren't so empty after my non-signed for personal "delivery" was deposited),.

It's pointless writing in...all drivers are told to do this - it's company policy (No1 & "Number twosie" clauses)

LMHO - HankMcSpank- that is brilliant. If only you were the driver...

Hi, Not being funny. But hat was that Argos actually did wrong here?

Thats is the whole point of my post!
In theory nothing, but originally they sold me a buggy that collapsed with my daughter in it, prior to this I had been very happy with it. When I returned it, I had decided to purchase instead, a similar, slightly more expensive one from the catalogue. All the others were much more expensive or cheap and nasty. So, the staff were horrified at the buggy I was returning. The problem arose when the only alternative buggy I could buy was a really cheap one. I could not do without (I tried!) and so felt I had no option but to purchase the one in stock.
My upset really, was that it is so difficult to park near our Argos, that I couldn't return the buggy easily. I Had to use one to get back to the car. Had they been more accessable I would not have had to purchase another that I wasn't happy with. I had also followed their advise initially to return it asap in person. This meant taking all my kids with me. So really I had wanted someone to take my frustrations seriously.
The whole point i was making was that some people do take customer care seriously.
It is not really head office's fault if a driver wees in someones garden. However customer care may feel the upset garden owner deserves some form of compensation, if you can get through to the right person.

I was in no way implying I was right and they were wrong, I was giving an example that the right people will takes your views seriously.

    A) their driver relieved himself in someones front garden
(you can't say that's just down to the driver - otherwise companies would never be held responsible for anything...)

    B) Failed to act on a complaint.

I think that, although the OP is, quite rightly upset about the wee, the most annoying thing is the failure of Argos to respond appropriately. My only comment would be to fight it using publicity, not the law - the police have plenty to keep them busy, and this seems to be more a case of making sure the driver is made aware of your disgust than actually having him prosecuted (which would in itself cost more than any fine likely to be imposed).

    But in someone's FRONT GARDEN?

On a separate point, I don't quite understand why the OP is persisting with Argos when they clearly couldn't care less.

Report the driver to police. Going for a pee in public isn't in itself a criminal offence but it is if you show your bits to a member of the opposite sex in the process (indecent exposure as someone mentioned earlier).

So if he was, say, peeing into your hedge then what he was doing was indeed unpleasant but probably not a criminal offence (maybe disorderly behaviour at a push but you'd probably need a police officer to see it happening).

If you really want to keep wasting more time and energy with Argos, then at least inform them that you're reporting the matter to police.

Ask yourself what you want done about this. Do you want the driver spoken to so that he doesn't do it again? Then police might be the best people to handle it. If the driver did indeed have some plausible explanation, they'll at least warn him that he should have been more discreet.

If you want some sort of 'driver peed in my garden' vouchers for this, I wouldn't waste your time any further.

It is a criminal offence where i live as from I think Dec 2005, its also against the law to come out of the pub drunk and throw up in the street, £80 fine for each depending on the cop that sees it, but if you're sick in the bin i think you get away with it.

Go for a dump outside one of their stores and use their catologues for bogroll!

And then stick a load of those little pens it in to make an impromptu modern art hedgehog sculpture.

Why didn't the driver just ask i'm sure if he'd of said to the OP 'do you mind if i use your toilet' they'd have said yes!!!!
instead they decide to pee in the garden.
Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts
