and replacing it with some drivel.

also, no assistance to families with only one earner. only two earner families.

disgraceful. these tories need to be shot.

Are we to assume that you are in receipt of said childcare vouchers?

Luckily you pay more tax than most people earn so you should be OK.

Eventually you might have to fund your kid's ISA's from your own income rather than benefits.

Abiut time. Some sense is finally coming back to the country

Children might actually be raised by their parents, and may be raised to find they have jobs to go to

Childcare costs continue well after the child leaves nursery. Unfortunately for most the days of one parent working, one staying at home are long gone.

The direct and indirect tax our household pays from two wages, running two cars, meals out, holidays etc etc more than covers the small amount of tax relief we get on £120 a month childcare vouchers.

If one of us stays at home the state loses out by far more than the tax not paid on £120.

    Not in my house

My wife decided she wanted to be a mother, like my mum and her mum. So she does that and i support her

Its easily done, it means sacrificing though

He does seem to be whinging on opposite sides of the fence on two different threads doesn't he.

As long as he is OK that is all that matters.

I thought Mum didn't work. It's hard to see why you need subsidised childcare, especially as you are in the top 15% of earners.

He must be greedy then just like the public sector workers :rotfl:Only joking of course any sensible person knows you take what you are due, and if you feel guilty about it, you can donate to a charity of your choice.

Sorry, as a tax payer why should I be responsible for paying for other peoples children?
From a purely economic perspective, working parents will pay more in income tax than they will receive by having some of their childcare costs subsidised. Simples.

Or. People that do not require childcare vouchers could work in their place and pay full income tax Without subsidy and potentially reducing the benefits bill

    Which benefits the country more?

The more people in work the better it is for the economy.

Or perhaps what you're really saying is that a woman should not bother her pretty little head with careers, and all that nonsense.
