My understanding is that these benefits are received to help them be equal to "normal people" or however its put then surely if the need for an extra bedroom is due to the disability then it should be paid for by a disability benefit. In the same way that an adapted car is needed for wheelchair users and that is what the mobility component is for.
I put the situation into a calcultator thingy thats what came out.
and your senario of a 27 year old, fit and healthy person living in a 3 bed social housing property wasnt extreme?0 -

And btw Confused.dot you don't get CP and CA do you? Although I don't claim to be a benefits expert.
At the end of the day it would be far more cost effective if everyone is soooooooooo concerned about money to have taken the £10 christmas bonus of everyone. Lot simpler and a lot less paperwork, hassle etc for LA's, saving on admin, appeals etc.
Got to go good night.
Not sure I just put figures in calculator and thats what came out
i found this somewhere too.
Carer premium
A carer premium of £32.60 can be added if you receive Carer’s Allowance for looking after a disabled person. It's possible to get this premium if you care for your disabled partner.Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0 -

I know a few people like that some not from the best situations parents dieing etc but movement in social housing where I come from is NIL. I also have a few friends age 25 in a two bed as everyone keeps pointing out there are no 1 beds. :rotfl:The 25 in two beds are in area where social housing is plentyful which is a bit of a anomaly.
So in your area nanny what happends to the 25 year olds who are looking for social housing ? There are no 1 beds so where do they end up ?Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0 -
its a totally unrealistic secnario.
i9 have never known of a single 25 year old being given a 2 bed social housing property
Really, Mazza says all in her area are given 2 beds as there are no 1 beds. I assumed if no 1 bedrooms they'd all be given 2 beds. So either 1 bedrooms are in abundance or they are given 2 bedrooms.Tomorrow is the most important thing in life0 -
Really? All the blind people, all those with learning disabilities, all those who are mentally ill, all those with COPD and heart disease? All in hospital beds?
It's exceptionally relevant if you keep giving misinformation.
I meant people I know in real life many are in hospital beds.
You knew what I meant anyway and I gave you a comparison of an adult without being in a hospital bed.
Don't you have someone to care for? Spend a hell of a lot of time on her today
must be misinformatioin.

No think I said I'd lost the plot with the logic of where this discussion was heading back at that point. Even angrybuffalo whose post I'd queried understood what I meant. Sadly you obviously didn't.
Hope that clariifies things for you now as well.
