I'm pleased to report that the kitchen is now all clean, the bins have been emptied, and the rubbish and recycling sacks are ready for Mr LW to put outside. Also the pizza for tonight's dins has been constructed and just needs to be cooked, once I know Mr LW is on his way home.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I did a good hoover through the ground floor and made a start on the kitchen before giving up.

Evening all, hope you are all well and have plenty of spoons
Have DH off this week so my week is all up in the air, but he is off out for a couple of days so at least I can get stuff done then.
Didn't get upto much today as I went to visit my friend in Herne Bay and offer her a shoulder to cry on. Unfortunately it has absolutely shattered me out.. Plus my pulled muscle is starting to hurt now, sitting down on a car seat for a bit driving back and forth is not a good idea when you have a poorly posterior
Plus DH was also decorating the kitchen - he painted the ceiling and glossed the coving. Hopefully he will paint the walls on Thursday/Friday. So the kitchen kind of got a bit of a swish and swipe afterwards but unfortunately it couldn't have anytime spent on it
DH is on bird duty this week so won't know which ones will be popping in. Although the doves are getting very cheeky and are sitting on the window sill outside our bathroom window, first thing in the morning when someone gets up and is in the shower.:rotfl:
Saturday the dreaded ESA forms arrived  Did have a quick perusal through them and must admit the bit I have to fill in is rather small, so I think I will have to add sheets. And, weirdly, it has come at the right time as I am getting more care due to my MH and more meds, etc. DH and I will sit down with these forms at the end of the week and go through them thoroughly, as he will tell it honestly as I would just put I was fine..and in actual fact I'm not..lolI'd be in except my kitchen ceiling caved in last night so I have a house full of devastation to deal with and a vacuum cleaner feeling neglected!!
I'd say it never rains in here but it does.. ceiling and bath water!
Oh no Piggers, hope everything is okay. It hasn't been that long since you had your kitchen redone has it?. Do you think there is a jinx on your kitchen at all? Firstly it got burnt down now it has been waterlogged!!!
Funnily enough it must have been the weekend for water disasters - we had a water disaster Saturday night. We were sitting watching t.v. when we heard dripping. Then it stopped, and then started again. Realised it was dripping from the ceiling above us we called out Homeserve - what we didn't realise was there was a very big puddle under the floorboards upstairs. We didn't even notice the ceiling had bowed by the stairs in the lounge.. According to Homeserve guy we were not that long from a major disaster, collapsed ceiling in the living room  But we didn't get off lightly as we need to have the floorboards replaced upstairs, the landing carpet that he had to rip up has got to be replaced. Which isn't an easy job as the carpet is an all in one with the stairsAnd then a section of the ceiling has to be replaced and redone.. Not sure which could have been worse - new carpet in lounge and new ceiling, or what we have to have done.. All I can say is thank gods for insurance!!!
Not sure how much will get done tomorrow either now as I have a dr's appointment and then a vets appointment in the morning. I think I might have time to breathe at sometime this week...:rotfl:

DH declutter challenge award 🏅⭐️0 -
The tesc0 shop used most of my spoons. I've had a busy weekend and really need an early night.
DD1 isn't at work again until Friday. She's commandeered the WM and TD today. I think the BF is coming over as she's tidied her room.
DH is turning over a new leaf and attempting to get a better work/life balance. He's on the train and should be home by 8. Hmmmm it's not looking very promising.
Tomorrow I will have my much needed day at home. I hope DD1 goes out or she will have to get involved with the flying.0 -
