Morning all from a bright and sunny - but frosty- North West, and thank you to Dusty and Natty for last week's and this week's thread. I'm in again!
We did SO well yesterday, and did around two hours cleaning through, two wash loads, now either put away or ironed and put away. All floors that needed mopping are mopped! I then sorted more piles of magazines and they are ready to give away.
After all that, the people we thought might come for coffee had to change their plans, so we then chilled out, but the place looks and smells lovely.
I've fed the cats and birds, and sorted our porridge, so today we aim to clean out the conservatory, pot a few more plants, then it's work for me this afternoon - I already have sorted my art stuff, that was another job I did yesterday.
Good wishes all round to everyone, especially those struggling or poorly.
Bonnie, we have a large, glass topped coffee table and the edges are hard to keep clean. I usually get my OH to help and gingerly lift the edges, but, I have to confess, that once when we had a guest staying I sat squirming one morning as the sun was shining in the back of this table - clearly showing all the dust, bits and fluff where I hadn't dusted! He was sat right opposite it, but luckily had his 'man' goggles in and didn't spot it!
Bye for now, R x0 -
Good Morning, I'm in.
Thanks for the list Natty.
Toots Hello! Lovely to have you here.
Bonnie I hope the week rushes by for your Friday date.

Morning All :hello:
Morning all hope you are all well, glad to see Toots popped by. Thanks to Natty for this weeks list I was up since 7.00am yesterday painting, I was determined to get bottom part of house in some sort of ship-shape, all painting in hall was complete last night, pictures hung up, sideboard back in, hope the other sideboard I have advertised sells soon, its in DD’s bedroom and she will use it as a dumping ground.
A trip to Ikea this weekend will let us get LR almost finished, we are getting our unit from there, just need to find the correct curtains now, I am having an awful time deciding, I only have one window which is the only source of light and wanted curtains to match the main wall but finding them is a hard task, got a sample sent at the weekend but they have stripes as well as flowers. My MIL says if I get the material, she will make them for me but she works full time as well so I am still undecided.

Ugh. Just checked my payslip. I know I shouldn't complain (I have got a bonus this month :T) but they've got a "one month" flag on my tax code for some reason, so I've been taxed as if I get this bonus every month (I wish!) and they can't correct it till the P60s have been issued as its year-end. How annoying!
And, the chances are, I won't get it back (it being about £210) as hmrc seem to think I owe them anyway, for a staff loan that doesn't exist.
I'd volunteer to do a tax return but the blighters will probably have me go back 6 years to get to the bottom of the underpayment restriction (which changes every time they write to me.

Sorry! back to work...Bossymoo

Thanks for the info about the glass top tables bossy & rowantree. I think I'll put the table carefully on its side, then try to get the glass top off, so it will be ready just to stand against the wall iyswim.
