Maybe I'm just not promiscuous. I only get intimate with someone I love. Bringing a stranger home and catching a disease off them doesn't sound like fun to me, but that probably makes me boring and old-fashioned

I wouldn't bring a stranger home either but you can have fantastic, amazing sex with your partner. It doesn't have to be a stranger

I've never had amazing sex on a one night stand, but I haven't waited to fall in love with someone before sleeping with them since my very first partner.

You definitely don't need to love someone or be 'emotionally involved' to have great sex.

TMI warning:

The best sex I ever had was with a friend who I do not love but do care a lot about. Ive also had incredibly bad sex with someone i loved so much but didn't really connect with in that way. I've never had a good one night stand... Not that I've had many but enough to know that they are really really really not worth it.

I think then, it's because not everyone invests emotion into sex and has sex purely for that sake, without any strings attached.

Some people can do that, others can't. Some people need the emotional attachment.

I think this is true. People all have different temperaments, if that's the right word. There isn't a right or a wrong way, it's what works for that person.

It can also be blimming disappointing, time after time, with the person you're in a relationship with.

If the person you're with makes no effort to push your buttons it really isn't worth the effort!

And if you've already experienced the amazing sort, then it can be a big let down.
