.........I have to say that I've never met a Scottish person who wasn't nice and friendly.

    I have :(

..... but that did not stop me marrying a local ;)
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • I'm a Scot (originally from Inverness) currently studying in Liverpool (another friendly bunch are the scousers!!). I didn't realise that they didn't serve Irn Bru on tap until i moved here - i was nearly laughed out of the pub when i asked for a pint of Irn Bru!!

You may find it easier asking for a pint of Vodka, in some of the bars in Liverpool ( Scouser here BTW !)

I have not really come across irn bru on tap in most places in Scotland either tbh, perhaps Glasgow at a push.

In the central belt you get draft Irn Bru just about everywhere. I've worked in ten or so pubs in my time and all had draft Bru and diet Bru.
I can only think of Pizza Hut not having it....my daughter drinks it but I think it's vile! Love Tizer but my fave juice is Barrs limeade

Odd, I lived in 'the central belt' (sorry, hate that term!) for 29 years, perhaps I just didn't socialise in irn bru drinking circles.....

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

After my second business trip North of the border in the last month, I want to say how friendly the Scots are and the landscape is amazing.?

Scotland has provided some memorable business trips, including a NHS conference where I got trollied and shared a bag of chips with the Scottish Health Minister and another where I secured a deal that hit 2 yrs worth of targets after doing a tour of the Lowlands, Highlands and Islands via the most impressive "wall of whisky" at the Creiff Hydro Hotel.
