I like the Scots

Best. Thread. Ever.
From a Scotsman living in England.0 -
I have two lithuanian friends and they're addicted to Iron Bru, it always amuses me watching them with it.
I watched a tv program about marketing and they said Coco Cola are the main soft drink or own the leading soft drink in every single country in the world except Scotland. The Scottish number one drink being Iron Bru and they won't sell to Coco Cola and it really really annoys Coke.
How great it would have been if South of the border we had put two fingers up to coke and had Top Deck Shandy as our number one national drink
The only reason Irn Bru out sells Coke is that it has a higher sugar content and the jocks are all about health drinks so this one wins hands down. Got to respect Scotland sticking it to Coca Cola.0 -
When my mum first announced she was moving from Essex to Inverness 7 years ago everyone went on about how much the Scots hate the English.
In 7 years she has never (touch wood) had any problems and loves living up there. My brother now lives in Glasgow and he has had no problems either.
The Scots are a great group of people
And give me a can of Irn Bru any day over a can of coke! It's a fantastic hangover cure tooFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

Scotland's great, as are the people.
It doesn't always rain, in fact, it is more often than not fine, whenever I have been.
In early Feb 2011, I was in Edinburgh for the rugby and the weather was so mild we didn't need jackets or thick sweaters.0 -
I spend most of my holiday time in Scotland, especially the Highlands. Amazing place, amazing people!0

I am English but have lived in Scotland for many years. In my experience "people are people" and in Scotland, as in England (and probably everywhere else) there is the usual mix of good, bad and indifferent folk.
Believe it or not it certainly doesn't rain here all the time - although sometimes it does feel it's never going to stop - at times the weather's lovely!Make £10 per day in May challenge: £310/123.920 -
Tried asking for a 'chip butty' in Aviemore once. The lady was most confused. I had to just say 'chips in bread'.
Anyways, I also love Scotland and spent many happy times there! Soon as I can I think I will move there. But I love Yorkshire too.0
