    i,ve often wondered that about the credit score and payments... but i also read that if you make a monthly overpayment bundled in with your normal monthly mortgage payment that has a negative effect as mortgage companies log it as an irregular payment IYSWIM.

    Although we did both and have just secured a second mortgage so cant damage it too much.
  • Phew, busy couple of days! Not had time to think let alone post!

    Anyway, group cover today bagged me £120 so I achieved my April total with £100 to spare. Pleased about that.

    Hope everyone is ok. Off to bed - totally shattered!!

    Morning!

    Tilly Tidied £1.44 this morning so the OP A/c stands at £3 :rotfl:

    Haven't dealt with yesterday's £120 yet. It's been mega manic in my house for the last 72 hours. I just haven't stopped to think!!

    No end in sight either!!

    Well it's finally the end of April and its been a real slog of a month to pay off the Rome trip and make my targeted OP but I did it - all £1,363 of it!:T

    May will be a quieter affair I feel although the recent resignation on my team (and no, the 4 weeks notice is NOT being worked!!), has resulted in my being required to cover the group short term, every Monday evening!! It will bring in about £50 a week after expenses so I'm looking on that as extra icing on my OP cake!!;)

    Change of tack for May - as both interest bearing CCs have been flattened now, the remaining £2,517 is at 0% until 02/2014 so I'm going to use the OP A/c as a kind of offsetting account as it'll earn me some interest. Minimum balances dealt with through Direct Debit.

    I'd quite like my car finance to be paid off by then too so I'm setting myself a MASSIVE challenge.:eek: I need to have saved:

    Assuming 10 monthly car payments of £207 and 10 minimum CC payments of £25, I'm paying off £2,320 off the debt until Feb 2014. If I do nothing this will give me a balance of £7,353 + £2,517 - £2,320 = £7,550 at 28/02/2014.

    But I want this cleared:

    So I need to save £7,550 in 10 months = £755 per month.:eek::eek::eek:

    I'll also be OPing my mortgage by £39 per month. ;)

    Signature updated.....;)

    Here goes......:cool:

    According to our CExec targets should be 'stretchable and achievable' - no point having an easy one :D. Good luck :T

    Thanks Tilly. I'm looking forward to this one as it feels achievable yet not a pushover. It's going to be fun!!!:D

    I'm not doing so badly - May is 8 hours old and already I have £123 saved (although technically that was obtained in April :shhh:)

    I'll be "saving" (inverted commas used here as its really a debt repayment:rotfl:)

    Tilly Tidies
    £2 coin tin, emptied 25th month
    Penelope Pig (pocket change collector) emptied 25th month
    Any money I get for Bellringing for weddings
    Money I save from Clubcard vouchers (don't use offers - it's cash I need, unless I spot an offer I can use!)
    Interest received on my savings accounts.
    Savings from multibuys - I'll imagine they were full price.
    Any expenses I get from SW (£180 due from April)
    Any bonuses I get from SW
    Any earnings I get from covering relief groups for SW
    Money I find on OH's bedroom floor (you'd be amazed, trust me!)

    Off we go!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

    You're so right GG and I think I've pitched it about right.

    I'm relying on you lot to keep me sane :rotfl: - I may need to rant on occasion when it all gets too much!!!
