Afternoon
Popped back in as needed to check my emails.
Day today hasnt gone as planned at all. Builder didnt come and OH had got up early to help him and was in a foul mood. House is a mess but no point cleaning as builder will (crossing fingers & everything else) be here tomorrow and OH is like me and cant relax in an untidy house. He has a really bad cold and with me with my backache we are a right sorry pair. So we decided to get out of the house and went to one of our local big towns and ran some errands. We then treated ourselves to a chinese buffet lunch which was lovely.
I may well start some ironing now so dont feel too guilty that I havnt done anything but one thing for sure is that I will be having an early night. Need to dose myself before and hope that will get some decent sleep.
Weather forcast for the weekend is horrible, Saturdays we dont really go out but like to on Sunday so think will be taking the kids swimming. Have no energy at the moment so I will just be watching.
Anyway going to check on greasy palm now and see how much money Ive got. Think is about £40 - may well cash that in and spend on something like an Indian Head Massage as have felt so under the weather recently.
Tinkerbelluk - yes it is quiet - some of the regulars are missing - hopefully its because they are having a nice time somewhere.
Anyway best get off now.0 -
Yes, TINKERBELLUK - it is a bit quiet! I've been baking for the last couple of hours then cleaning the inside of the microwave because DH forgot to tell me he'd nuked his rice-pudding for too long and it had exploded - five days ago! I just went to put some stewed fruit in it and had to clean it first; can't wait for him to get home!
TWINK - will try the Yoghurt Jelly - sounds lovely. I'll do it tomorrow - have baked enough cakes this afternoon to feed an army! Oh - and thanks for the lavender oil tip; I'll look for Tisserand online!
Well, must go - the oven timer is ringing! Will drop in later.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Not much happening here, waiting for dh to get home from work, jacket spuds for tea, then a night infront of tv planned.
Have a good evening all

Afternoon all
I love frogs - we've got loads - love hearing them all round the pond having a croak....great for keeping the slugs down.
Just had 9 items finish on ebay for £53  Very happy with that....7 have paid too so must crack on and get wrapping and then get to the post office in the morning.
Been playing with a new sizzix die that came today, made loads of card toppers up, just need to go clear up all the mess now.
DH has just informed me that he's been out for a client lunch for the past 4 hours, so won't want any tea tonight! Alright for some eh!
Off to some friends for the weekend, they've got a heated outdoor pool so we'll no doubt have to have a dip, just hope the rain holds off.
Hope you all have a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hi just popped in to say a quick hello.
Day getting crazier, going into work early just kept my head above water and didnt get me out early:eek:
Then went to Matalan and got some summer goodies, need to try them on so some may need to go back:eek: (won't be able to go as mad as this when we retire!), oddments from Netto, some decoupage card sets for £2.99, and some card to make cards with IUKWIM. Some large plastic boxes from what used to be £stretcher, then an Aldi, shop - did too much knee killing when I got home, but go away next Friday so had to shop!:o
Got a call from DS, he's coming home tonight for the night, and we are test driving a car tomorrow and taking it to see him so can he scrounge a lift back to uni, after printing off some revisions notes!:T (he is actually thinking about revising - just - finals start 23rd). Aldi shop ended up being at least twice as much as ended up with three bags full for him! I must be going soft.
Got another call from friends we are going away with, want to come down so having dinner with DS (shoved lamb joint I got last night by chance in SC) DH has done the spuds, so are going down to see them at 8 pm. Side bedroom (office/dump room) still a mess, was going to do that tonight. Off out tomorrow night with some other friends for a meal, and out all day tomorrow with the test drive, not going to spend all that money on a five minute test!
Never mind, the dust will be there after me, and I will get there I always do, somehow. Prefer seeing DS and friends to cleaning/tidying/sorting. Plus will enjoy the wine! Looks like I had better forget trying to start this diet until after we finish.
I can't say life is boring now can I.
Hope someone will show me the way round ebay after I finish work, certainly no time to consider it now, and loads to dispose of to declutter!
Take care and ((hugs)) all round.

Hi just got in from work!
AMIE - I am petrified of the frogs, will go miles out of my way to avoid one.Everytime it rains we get them on the path by the back door so I dont go out there, they seem to like to frighten me, I've even had them jumping out at me from my pots:eek: it really spoils my love of gardening as I'm always on the lookout for them and once I've seen one thats it for the day!
PenPen thanks for the advice about strawberries, we're trying to grow some for the first time so I'll tell DH to cover them:T
We had an MP at work today for a buffet lunch, was a killer because there was some delicious cakes there and it was hard not to stuff my face!;)
Hope everyone's well, am off out for my curry at a mates soon!

Evening everyone :hello:
At last! The end of the week! It's a relief to get here as I was nearly falling asleep teaching the children. They're quite lively, so it's no mean feat!
DH is off on his lads weekend to Blackpool tomorrow. He's in Tesco buying some bacon and eggs to line his stomach before he sets off in the morning. The shameful thing is that it's the town's monthly farmers' market tomorrow, but after he sets off.....
I will be visiting the farmers' market though, in the morning, to top up on provisions for the month! There's a lady who sells pies and makes the most gorgeous "Blockhouse Pie" which is a quiche filled with a South African curried meat and veg filling. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. The last one I got, I cut it into quarters and froze it so it lasted longer than normal..... so it lasted two days instead of one! :rotfl:
I've got to do a meal plan for the next couple of weeks, so I shop efficiently at the farmers' market! That'll be tonight's job whilst watching "Have I Got News For You". I love that programme!
Right, DH has just phoned, so I'll get supper on. It's a very lazy supper of chicken tikka masala using a jar of sauce.I suppose it could be worse because we could be having a takeaway........... (but less washing up with the takeaway!
)
 for now.
