    Hi everyone,

The kids are ready for the off and OH is going to take them while I have a quick shower before we shoot up the valley to see this greenhouse.

Plans today are the usual basics, one wash and a pile of ironing (where does it all come from?). Also some lamb to go in the sc - we won't eat until about 7.30 tonight, Again today it is a pottering day as I am having my hair done at 3.30 along with DD, and then I want to colour it.

Shez, your question is answered at the end of yesterday's thread.

No rain here in N. Wales, it's very cloudy though. I bet it tips down at 3 when I pick up the kids. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

angl4.gif Big hugs to all in need today and I hope you all have a good Friday, got to go.

    Morning Everyone

Bit late on today as I've actually been doing some work this morning!!!:rotfl:

Nothing much happening today. Had meeting with the new boss yesterday and I think he might be going to promote me, but I'm not sure. In regards to the second job - I'm now a sports commentator for a local club:eek: - I've been given a second fixture to cover. So more money:T

Two week's time and I'll be all alone, as bf will be in the States for 4 months. I'm really not looking forward to it, but working on filling up my diary as much as possible to make the time pass quicker. Never had to do a long term relationship before.

Going online later to find the cheapest flights to Northern Ireland for next week. Got overtime lined up for the weekend to get a day off in leui.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Hi everyone

Scuzz, good to hear things are going well with your BF - I'm sure the time will go much quicker than you expect, especially if you keep busy :)

Sun still out here so washing is on the line. DW on, for the third time  - first time the powder didn't dissolve, so I scooped it out and put on a quick wash. No good, dishes still dirty. Am trying not to think how much water and electric we have used.

Gammon joint yesterday was lovely - the kids wolfed down the ham they had for tea, and DH and I enjoyed it too. I've got enough to do another meal for the kids, and chop up the leftovers for DH and me to make pasta or fried rice. Then there are at least three lots of soup (that's 3 family meals worth!) so pretty good for £3.

Just having a cup of tea, then I am going to try and tackle whatever Flylady has on the menu today. Have made all the invitations for DS2's christening so we'll all go out for a long walk and drop those off too - hopefully wear the boys out!

    Morning all

Been really manic with work, studying and travelling so not been able to post much. Hope everyone is well.

I'm in London for the weekend, a friend is getting married so I said we'd go to the Sanctuary for the day - very posh and expensive!

I watched 'how to look good naked' on Tuesday and it inspired me to look after myself a bit. Realised I needed to buy a few 'essentials' and spent £70 in Boots!! Oh dear!!!!

Anyway, better get on with work. Might also work on Sunday as don't know what else to do!

    Take care all

P.S. Scuzz - congrats on new second job, well done!

    Morning!

just having a quick cuppa before getting ready for work. Was extremely stressed out earlier trying to get DS17 out of bed and in the shower ready for his interview with connexions in Worcester. He has no job at the moment as his boss said there wasn't enough work for him any more - wasn't happy with him being there anyway as his boss was a bit of a cowboy - no contract of work or wage slips, paid in cash etc and when we started kicking up a fuss about it he's suddenly out on his ear! fingers crossed he gets sorted soon!

Got to pick my tyre up on way to work - puncture the other day, hope its not too expensive:rolleyes:

AMIE - not too keen on frogs myself either!had one jump on my foot in the garden the other day:eek:

Catowen - good luck with blood test!

oops a daisy - well done, keep up the good work!:T

Off to my mates tonight for a curry with my oldest friend who moved away last year and is back for the weekend, have been saving my syns so I can enjoy it!;)

    have a good day all,

    take care xxx

    Morning all!

Please help yourself to a <hug>, they're in the bag in the corner...sorry, the other corner. Yes, the blue bag, that's it.

Off to town shortly, want to buy some cod from the fishmonger as I'm going to mnake Gary Rhodes' Battered Cod for dinner tonight. I'm not really a lover of fish, it's the texture as much as the taste that I dislike. I'm trying the approach we use with kids: keep trying. Yes, I have read the oold thread about worms in fish, and I will be blanking that out fir the next 48 hours or so.

Want to cycle there (it's 2 and a half miles each way) but it's very windy out. I'll wait a bit and see if the wind dies down.

WM on, DW unloaded and reloaded, rubbish out. Oh, we think someone has swapped our wheelie bin.

Both DH and I noticed (separately) that the bin has developed a load of crud on the lid all of a sudden. Of course we suspect next door. DH said it can't be them as their bin has a number on. Hmmm. It didn't used to have a number on. I bet they took ours then put a number on it :-)))) Oh well. I don't know it was them, and I can't do anything about it, so will have to get out there with the detergent once the bin has been emptied. And then paint our number on it.

Ginger cat still won't go into the bedroom, although he will stay on the landing and play for a bit if we take him up there. He's decamped from a chair under the table to his bed on the sofa (we have two sofas, one for hubby and ginger cat, one for me and other cat - looks like Annie's avatar) and is looking a bit less grumpy.

Right, off to make coffee, then I'll see what's what.

    Catch you all later xxxxx

    Mornin' all.

Late start for me too as I'm at work and only just caught up on emails and stuff.

Had quite a nice surprise last night when a mate came around to give me a sturdy shoulder to cry on. I felt loads better by the time he was ready to go. Sadly, he's attached. But he's a good mate. When he left I was surprised the weather was dry as I was sure I could smell rain ...

... and then I woke up this morning to a downpour. I tell you, 250 years ago I would have been tried for being a witch.

Anyway, Friday is junk food day for me. I get a hot sandwich from the canteen for dinner, then have fish n chips for tea (I'm a Brummie really, and we have dinner at lunchtime and tea at dinner time, as do the local Yorkshire villagers). However, because I'm saving money, I've brought a sandwich box in with fruit and yoghurt and cake to have with the hot sandwich instead of buying sweets and chocolate, and I'll probably just have mini fish n chips for tea.

Then I'm off out to a local rock gig.

    Have a good day, y'all.

Hello :) Hope you don't mind me joining in today again...

Got up at 5.30, OH told me he didn't want to go to work - cue a huge slanging match first thing... did packed lunches, OH went to work, peeled potatoes etc for dinner (fish, parsley sauce, potato dauphinois gratin thing), cleaned bathroom & kitchen floors, went to work - OH phones me to say he's stuck in a toilet (he's a builder / handyman) and he can't get out... obviously my fault for making him to go work. He was stuck in there an hour before being rescued.

SOOO... rest of day: work until 3:30 ish, pop to shops, cook dinner, sort washing, dust and vac flat, clean bathroom, AQA for at least 2 hours, watch Peepshow, have a vodka and sleep.

Ps: Mushypeas - have fun in London! There's loads of BOGOF stuff on at the mo, Wagamamas etc and if you have time check out the Monet exhibition - they have his old notebooks and stuff on display, is quite amazing. Not just waterlillies!

Have a good day, everyone x

Morning all It's just about stopped raining here. :T
It's been a busy week here so haven't had time to post, so (((hugs))) birthday wishes and congratulations to any one I missed.

Done a quick swish and swipe this morning, and baked 10 breadcakes, so sarnie for lunch. I defrosted braising steak for tea so might go to the market for fresh veg and do a stew and dumplings, as the weather has changed.

There is lots of flying in and out of the airport this morning. Flybe has just gone passed my dinning room window, and into land, poor people coming back from their holidays to rain:eek: Bye the way it's chucking it down again!!

    Catch up later
