    I'm a man ... men never buy useless gadgets* :)

    Nexus 7 - my wife is a self-confessed technophobe, yet she LOVES the Nexus. :)

    Luckily my unused dusty bread-maker was inherited rather than bought. I do have yeast, powdered milk & strong flour that have been in the cupboard for over 18 months for it, but can't be faffed. Plus we don't eat that much bread so it goes stale 10x quicker than a bought sliced loaf.

    My food processor was a dream of being a Stepford wife & producing lovely cakes & muffins daily without putting a lb on my waist. Sadly, due to attempt at weight loss it only gets used once or twice a year. Not even for the Christmas cake as I'm afraid the mixture is so strong it'll break.

    Foot spa also less used than I would like due to faff of filling & emptying it (a folded towl underneath deadens the noise ;) )

    My husband's got plenty of out of date & unworking PDA's & other gadgets used before phone's became 'smart'.

    I love;
    my hands free tin-opener
    my dishwasher
    my Kindle
    (probably more but I just take them for granted!)

    I want;
    an Ipad. Keep telling myself I don't need it, but I really, really want it & happy in this instance to pay for quality as I usually buy cheaper versions then regret it.

    To everyone with a "useless" breadmaker, if it is the quality of the bread that you have a problem with you have to experiment with the amount of water you use, and if I make a loaf in the breadmaker (as opposed to just the dough) I crush up a couple of vitamin C tablets and put those in too. Makes a big difference!

    Or just buy pre-peeled/crushed, frozen garlic from the supermarket for about £1(ish). Got some from Asda, 90 seconds in the microwave and ready to add to home-made burgers.

    I found mine made the dough very heavy, the "outside" slices very chewy and the "middle slices" very dry.
    Also, the mixing thing never lies flat after the mixing so leaves a big hole in the bottom of the bread.
