It does amuse me that keyboard designs that should have been left dead after Clive Sinclair stopped using them are now making a comeback as accessories for tablets.

I did upset a co-worker who bought one for his MS surface by pointing out it's similarity to a ZX80.

You're welcome to try it out if you bring a sack of fresh beans!
Apparently they come in green and orange as well as red, you could slice up a rainbow. Here's a red one

Very interesting reading all these threads on gadgets.

I am considering buying a steam generating iron but there are so many available dont know which one to go for.

I plan to spend around £160.00 can anyone recommend a good one.

    Gadgets I love are :

    Tefal Actifry
    Breadmaker
    Slow cooker
Waffle maker for my 13 year old who loves waffles

Last time I looked our local heart charity shop had shelves of steam generating irons and about 3 normal 'pour water into hole' irons

We have two of these (one at home and one in our static caravan)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-GC7420-Pressurised-Steam-Generator/dp/B003SX13WA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366533201&sr=8-1&keywords=philips+steam+generator

If you really want to spend £160 buy one somewhere other than Amazon.

You can get steam generators for as little as £50 but they are will not produce the high volumes of steam a pressurised one does so don't work quite as well.

These are most certainly not catch pennies or something that will never be used so not really the correct thread to ask.

Just saw above post - maybe it's the £50 ones in the charity shop??

If you've not already purchased one then consider a Bosch. I've had other cheaper ones and while they were good they did not last very long. Bosch are definitely worth the money and more powerful

WASTE:- model nitro helicopter; practised carefully for 1 week then crashed and burned (well, not burned, but too many bent bits to contemplate rebuilding). Its still there in the back of my garage.
