Another mere -0.2lbs for me this week. That's less than half a pound down in a fortnight - I need to up my game.

I'm going to join the gym at work for the next three months to do some strength training, as at the moment I only do cardio (mostly cycling), and there's loads of benefits to strength stuff, so it'll be interesting to see how much impact that has (and whether I enjoy it or not!).

    Hello everybody,

I did not weigh myself this morning. I've been out on the bicycle a few times; two local errands and two/12 miles total approx. Also, bits of gardening. Calories have been lower since the beginning of June. Presently, personal health worries and housing problems means that this challenge is getting harder.

    Best of luck.

Sending you good vibes, dannie! Hope things take a turn for the better soon.

-2lb for me this week. :j I've really cracked down on sugar over the past several days which seems to have helped.

50 mins on a mini-trampoline and 250 mins brisk walking this week. Hoping to do more aerobics going forwards though. Just need to find the time. :o

I have the clip-on/zip fitbit too :D I love it, it's so great to see how many active minutes I do - usually I manage at least 30 minutes a day just walking to/from the bus stop for work. I never even considered before how beneficial small amounts can add up to be. :T

Congrats to our SoTW Pearla*Merle and our SoTM Svenena

Congrats to our losers and STSers - we have no gainers this week :j:j

If anyone wants to join the 5lb challenge next month please post below.

Here's the chart for the 3 hours exercise challenge:

Well done everyone taking part :).

I will continue to log exercise until 30th June.

Next months challenge will be to climb the Blackpool tower twice a week (due to the World Matchplay Darts championship being held in Blackpool). There are 563 steps from the top of the building to the top of the flagpole at the top of the tower. Averaging 10 steps in a flight of stairs that's roughly 112 flights of stairs in a week. If you wish to take part in the challenge and increase or decrease the challenge please let me know by posting below.

Here's the chart for our Strawberries v Champagne team challenge this week.

Well done to the Strawberries (or should I say Durham_Mim who's done it without my help this month :o).

Next months teams will be home or away. Please post below which team you wish to join.

I hope things work out ok for you Dannie - health concerns are worrying without the added stress of housing problems. Well done on still managing some cycling :).

    Hi everyone,
I would like to join this thread.
I am 5'2, and I estimate I weight 11 stone 7. My aim for today is to record my food intake and exercise, and to weigh myself accurately, and I will report back tomorrow. Looking forward to some inspiration!

    Welcome Rumblytum :)

Can you put me down for the 5lb challenge and the Blackpool Tower challenge.
Also put me down for the Home team.
Think I might try this on the step machine at the gym - need some motivation to get me there on a regular basis.

    Thanks Jess :)

Well, my aims of yesterday were to weigh myself, record my food intake and exercise.

So, I weighed myself, and I am, in fact, 12 stone 1  - the heaviest I have ever been in my life, and one whole stone heavier than when I was 9 months' pregnant. This is not good. This has to be my wake up call.

So, I found the Food Focus website on here, and logged what I ate and what I burnt off. The exercise I did yesterday was walking only - just as part of my walk to work, and this was 50 minutes and burnt 155 calories.
My food intake was 1588 calories. I'm rather surprised at this as I haven't adjusted my food intake yet, and ate Pringles, double cream, crisps, sweet cereal. Might enter it on Myfitnessplan and do a comparison.

Anyhoo, I set out to do what I planned yesterday which is a massive achievement in itself, even if I am reeling from my true weight.

My aim for today is to do an inventory of my fridge/freeze/cupboards and meal plan for the next few days.
