    okayish thanks jess444.

Put a lot of effort into last weeks nutrition/exercise. The exercise was mainly cycling outdoors and gardening. Been collecting some free raspberries and blackberries but a bit longer before the rest will be ready.

fredsnail - thanks for putting me as STS last week (I had decided not to weigh myself so no recording). Anyway, today my weight is 2lbs heavier than chart 2/7/14, the first week. Thanks.

30 lengths swimming and 1 hour walking to add to the challenge - not good. Think I am finding it harder to get back into the exercise than the diet tbh. I don't even have an excuse as I am off work for the Summer hols!

Seems very quiet on here, hope everyone is OK x

Just working away at it, Jess. :) I must admit I rarely exercise. Apart from trying to walk a bit more and use the stairs more, I do nothing. :o

  • It's my turn to join the club.

After weighing myself and the scales jumping around all over with numbers I didn't like I've settled on -1lb. But it's arbitrary really, it wasn't enough, for the first time on this journey I've gone over my average target line. The person I am means this is both really annoying and really trivial, I'm all or nowt - I now think I could either chuck in the chart and just do or take the hit on the chin and stare at that red square of failure! It's bugging me more than the gaping shirt around my big stomach when I sit down at my desk. So I've had my ridiculous binge eat. I'll clock in 120 minutes on that challenge thing.

August is a new month everyone!

Don't be so hard on yourself. As long as the overall trend is downwards then it's good, and you're doing great! Most people who successfully lose weight will have binges and blips - it's what you do after the binge or blip that will make or break the 'diet' (I don't like that word but can't think of another to use lol )

Congrats to our SoTW Jackieb :j:j:T:T

Well done to our losers and STSers this week and comisserations to our gainers - the mind is everything so try to keep focused and you'll get there.

If you wish to take part in the 5lb challenge next month, please post below.

Congrats to the Away team who've won this month.
Next months teams will be fly or sail. If you wish to take part please post below and let me know which team you want to join.

Here's the chart for the Commonwealth challenge:

Well done to everyone taking part I will keep adding entries until the 1st and post the final chart next week.

Next months challenge is the world bog snorkelling championships in Powys. You can read more about it here:

    http://gouk.about.com/od/whatsoninaugust/qt/Bog_Snorkelling.htm

Each competitor has to snorkel 120 yards, so this months challenge will be to do 120 minutes of exercise each week - or if you want to do more or less that's fine - just let me know what your target is.

If you want to take part in the MSE snorkelling challenge please post below.

Thanks for the chart Fred. Well done on SOTW JackieB :T:T:T

3 miles walking to add for me tonight.

Can you sign me up for the 5lb challenge, the sail team and I will aim for 180 minutes of exercise per week. I prefer a time challenge so hopefully this will give me the kick up the b** I need.
  • Put me down for another 10lb challenge, 120 minutes per week and the fly team please.

Argh, completely forgot to check in yesterday. I was +0.2lbs, which I'm very disappointed about. Feel like I'm stalling.

Well done jackie on SOTW and SOTM! :T

I'm going on holiday for a week tomorrow, so not sure if I will have access to scales, and will definitely be eating excessively, but I will try to check in next Weds to let you all know the damage :D

As you say white rose, August is another month, and we can only keep on trying. Good luck everyone!
