    Hi Fred :)

I'm in for the challenge - although 20km is a LONG WAY!

Can I be a Shamrock if there's room on the team?

2 hours walking today, taking my sister's dog up the moors :)

Hi, do I just post in here to join in? :)

I lost 30lbs a few years ago and seem to now pretty much have put it all back on, so I want the countability of posting on here about it to make me get back exercising like I should have been since new year!

I'm 30 in August and would like to make my 30's healthier than my 20's ever were! I just weighed myself and i'm 232lbs (16.6st) and I'm going to set the target of being down to 200lbs (14.3st) by my birthday in late August (I'm not sure if thats really easy or totally impossible, but it's the lowest weight i got down to last time so a nice target in my head.) and re-adjust at that time.

I'm going to be doing the coach to 5k to try get running before work again, and lifting weights from home in the evening (I'm male and always enjoyed the weights... if I actually start!)

Looking forward to posting updates and joining in the chat. :)

Hello Fredsnail and everyone. I know it's too late for the update, sorry. I work very weird hours so I don't always get online or to the scales in time :o.

This week I did four hours (cross trainer). I am not seeking any change weight-wise, which is due to really random eating. I try to be healthy but then end up grabbing snacks when I work late etc and have zero will power :o.

I am grateful for staying the same and not having put on any extra weight (yet) though.

I am trying to do one veggie juice a day and I'm hoping that might make some difference. I have friends that love them but I really don't! Still, it tastes like it must be good for me ;).

For March, may I be a shamrock and do the 5lbs and 20k please?

Congratulations to everyone from Feb and good luck for March!

  • Just a quick update, I was -1lb last week, taking me to -10lb for the month.

Me? Slimmer of the month...? :j
  • Oh and my attempts to create a bet with William Hill like stebiz are dead in the water, extortionate fees to get a letter from the doctors (£55) which wouldn't include the information required anyway, and the fact I've lost 25lb would mean another 5 stone loss in total means I'd be -95lbs and I wouldn't have the time this year to complete the bet in a suitable manner, i.e. not an extreme and rushed weightloss leading to excess saggy skin.

So I'm focussing on the long game again, hoping that taking things slower means my skin can still adjust over time and I'm not left with loads of saggy skin.

I challenged myself in Feb to walk 20 miles (had to be additional to what I'd do day-to-day anyway), and achieved it, so I decided to aim for 25 miles in March. Google tells me that this converts quite nicely to 40km, so can I go for double the 20km challenge please Fred.

Also in for the 5lb challenge again.

Kicked off yesterday with a 5.66km walk.
